Look, I don't use this stuff because of my job and I really do not want touch this stuff. But, again, here is another nut who does not clue. From the Idaho Mountain Express " Columnist Dick Dorworth dances around the true reason LSD was outlawed. Authorities were more than a little fearful of being exposed for the lying frauds they are. They knew for a fact that an LSD trip could undermine years of propaganda and opinion molding. Back in the 1960s when LSD was still legal, trippers saw Washington bigwigs thumping for the Vietnam War and instantly and without exception responded, "They're lying!" LSD enabled trippers to "see" the lies flashing out of McNamara et al like overamped strobe lights. LSD has the power to rip away fraudulent masks more effectively than Nero Wolfe, Sam Spade, Philip Marlowe, Sherlock Holmes and Eliot Ness put together. A psychedelic mind set refuses to become cannon fodder in a needless Vietnam War for lunatic warriors like Richard Nixon. After they "turned on" they set out to stop such brutal nonsense and they did. The only "danger" LSD posed to users was having lifelong beliefs exposed as lies. We had dozens of Acid Tests and everyone always went home in control of their senses. Bum trippers were "talked down" in a matter of minutes by experts. There was only one problem. Everyone went away with far less respect for the "establishment." The fear of politicians that they would no longer be able to fool the public is the only reason LSD and other psychedelics are illegal. The list of drug-caused deaths never includes marijuana or psychedelics. Ralph Givens Daly City, Calif. " You do not know your stuff sir.
I happen to know for a fact that the establishment is a colony of psychic worms, manipulating us all from the astral plane. GWB isn't one of them, but he is part of one of them... like the head. But the thing is, the head isn't really the head, because we all know that when you split a worm in half, it can grow a new head and a new tail and continue as two separate worms. Therefore, the man knows what he's talking about!
thats not the only reason psychedelics are illegal lol they're illegal because people went insane on them and killed either themselves or other people...hence the reason mushrooms were just made illegal in amsterdam
yeah, this article is pretty accurate. Ever since my first trip (well even before that) I hated the government. LSD just proves it to me.
if you rip a worm in half you get two dead worms, or occasionally, one dead worm and one severely wounded worm.
To some extent that is true. Some species will die if severed, while in other species they will regrow segments and a new head or tail. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthworm
While I believe we should not trust, respect, or heed the establishment, we should not necessarily hate it, for it is made of men like you and me, and they are merely human beings with an ounce of power amongst the common creed. ---I Believe the OP was either a joke or else the guy is sick of the concept thrown around that LSD hands people the truth, and that the conceptions of hippies are enlightened, as opposed to encumbered. When you are sick of this concept being ignorantly celebrated amongst peeps on the net, perhaps you could also direct those feelings to the report quoted in the OP. I however agree with the quote, and I think that psychedelics break down strong notions built into us by culture. These notions are part of our social functioning, we have generally accepted principles that we agree upon, that we cant constantly question or else the society would not cohere. However, many of these notions can be sculpted by authorities and public figures to direct society in certain directions. LSD can allow certain notions in individuals to be completely flipped around, and can replace old strings of thinking with new ones. Of course, this isnt always a good thing. Although certain notions like those regarding US involvement in Vietnam should not be guided by long-instilled exposure to values and arguments displayed by authorities and medias, other notions such as those concerning the our place in society might benefit from social adherance to a certain degree. although we should all be free thinkers, we cannot drift forever like gypsies. trippers can loose touch with society. while society might not be right, it still is there to support each person in it. Many hippies dont want to 'work for the man' but working for the man only involves getting a job provided to you by someone else. most people are not satisfied by their jobs because they enlisted for this role, to do a service and to get money in return. Tripping on acid can dissilution people about money and respectibility in society, and can provide a window of thinking through which it appears that society's expectations are essentially meaningless. But this is not entirely correct - we are social creatures, and in order to work together in harmony over long periods of time, we are best suited to a structured society whereby people must be selfless in some ways in order to be selfish in others. Some of the things we do that seem ridiculous or over-structured, erroneous, or tiresome, may actually be a benefit to us in the longrun. The problem is not with 'establishments' but with the specific establishments we have today. but establishments dont just change. LSD can let us see through the walls that exist, but can we create new walls that can house humanity in a better way? Without walls at all, we are lost, having to constantly re-assess our place (if we care). Walls take generations to form. and thus it seems that only by getting everyone to trip, could a new system be implemented, but by washing away the establishments of old, we cannot simply build anew a way of life for everyone to accept. the only reason people accept the current way of life is because it is more or less everywhere. universal tripping would be catastrophic, for there would be 8 million people all potentially descovering a new mindwave, and for this to be synchronised in such a way to shift the world into a better way is a ridiculous suggestion - by cutting down the assumptions and accepted faiths that we share, we can lose the many beneficial rewards from our membership in society.
Bullshit. Lies and propaganda to outlaw our soul medicine. If you ever had LSD you would understand. Psilocybian mushrooms are meant to heal not kill. Perhaps the context of what else was ingested and/or outside influences had been the catalyst to their demise.
