Thinking of growing...stupid idea?

Ive been thinking about it for a while now. I live in an apartment building though and i'm worried about the smell...I was only going to have 1 or 2 plants growing in my closet of my bedroom, which is about 30-40 feet from the door that leads to the public hall....is the smell likely to drift that far or be very strong with only 1 or 2 plants? Will those deoderizers that eliminate the odour rather than cover it up be enough to take care of any smell? how strict are most places if they find out your growing a plant? eviction, warning, or dont care? cause they sometimes have a reason to come into the place and that worries me. Its just so much cheaper to grow yourself, and i can never get any when i want it, but i do not want to risk losing my apartment over it.

 

if you're growing only 1-2 just grow in your balcony

 

Not a problem at all, you're going to need ventilation (just a small fan) and most people have the air pulled through a carbon scrubber to take out the smell. Also you can set up a small growcab in a closet from ikea or mills pride, if there's a lock on it they can't go inside it. I know when I can I'll grow in a dresser it seems like the best way to hide it and get a carbon filter that should work for 2 plants

 

If you can smoke in your apartment, you can grow some plants. Just crack your window a little every day.

 

Just get a pan of free carbon chunks and have one in the room that it's growing in and one near the door/community vents. You probably have nothing to worry about if it's just a couple of plants. In fact, I'd be more worried about a fire than anything else in that situation.

 

right on, thanks guys....decided to go for it...now all i need is the $$$ to get started...any suggestions on the strain to grow? i was thinking northern lights...from what ive read its great for indoors, low smell, high potency...any others i should consider?

 

i just started growing 2 but i just started from bag seed which i think is big bud im in day 2 of flowering. i don't think il be ordering any seeds any time soon but i alway read ak47 is a great strain for a new stealth beginner grower it practically grows on its own (from what i read)
