I sometimes act out in public. Particularly if someone is being an asshole or painting a target on themselves. Sometimes when I see an emo or someone dressed like they're from another time, I just burst out laughing.

If someone's being an asshole driving, I will step out in front of them, flip them off, tell them they're an asshole.

Today, she pointed out this guy in her sister's class that straightens his hair and dyes it black. I put out a metal symbol and was laughing. He gave me evil eyes as he was passing us, and I called him a pussy. He pretended not to hear me.

She hates it, but I think it secretly makes her proud. And her reactions are funny.

Live and let live, unless they are actively trying to hurt you. And even then, don't provoke them.

I'll tell you a tale. I play in a band, we did lots of really rough gigs. One night a slightly retarded (seriously) dude was smashed around by a peanut who thought he was tough. Then...the injured guy's nephews showed up. They were members of a well-known bikie (you Americans call 'em biker) gang. Tough guy got carted away in an ambulance.

We all have the right to exist as we wish until we impinge on the rights of others.

I'm a walker, and I've learned not to take shit from cars. You never realize how rare a turn signal is until you go about on foot all day in a city.

 

Shrug. You want to live in an angry and aggressive manner, go ahead. Just be careful that someday a small, inoffensive person might take exception to your antics and beat the living shit out of you.

By the way, a friend of mine is small. He straightens and dyes his hair, and wears rouge on occasions. He often wears a black kilt. He's nearly 50.

I only called the metalhead a pussy when he gave me the evil eyes. But I didn't even realize I was making fun of him until after he passed, I was just making fun, ya know?

And as far as the cars. I don't know when everyone started driving so bad, but almost getting hit like 20 times a day, makes you want a license to kill.

And no matter what yinz say; I feel some public dissent is an absolute necessity and no one stands up to anyone anymore.

I'm sure a lot of these people will look back on how they looked when they were teenagers, and laugh themselves. I do.

I don't care ow people want to dress, they can wear whatever they want, but that doesn't mean others can't find it funny.

I understand how you feel, some people seem to go out with the word "target" on their head with some of the get-ups I see, and I see allot of them where I work.

I also believe that people should be able to express themselves without being harrassed....unless it is on the internet

The ones that get me the most these days are the ones that are straight out of the 80s. They're always right around my age, and I don't get it at all. Their older brothers and sisters were grunge-heads!
