I once saw this documentary on.....national geographic? Ah yes, I remember now. It was the show Taboo, a great show that discusses different taboos in different cultures and shows us how what may be the norm here can be taboo in a different culture and the other way around.

Anyway, it showed a church somewhere in the US (Vermont?) that was a nudist church. So you could go to church nude!!!!!!

I am sure that many people who go to nudist camps or beaches have strong religious beliefs. Many others who have religious beliefs choose not to pray or worship their god in a formal setting (church, mosque for example), often not because they have fallen out with God, only some of his followers.

Not sure about this. Depending on the type of paint, skin can be easier to clean than clothing. Also it dries quicker.
