Can you blame them? Yes, but judging them is much more satisfying.

 

newbie's often get a lot of heat because

1) often newbies, especially one posters are trolls

2) it's just easier to pick on newbies

3) newbies don't know their way around, and can easily rub people the wrong way

the earth was mean to me after my first post, but I have since forgiven him

unfortunately, a thread by a newbie about how people here are mean is kind of a magnet for people who want to be mean

I haven't seen all of your posts, so I don't know all of the reasons why you are encountering negativity

on one of your other threads, I think you may have simply misunderstood the intentions of one of the posters

 

Their are also lots of good very nice people with great life advice here, and some jerks...like...ummm everywhere?

I like that I have my own thread dedicated in part to me. This is like the second or third time that a n00b has done this for me (in part) <3

 

i haven't encountered any really mean people here in a long time. a lot of people here are excessively nice if anything.

we do get a lot of new people with no sense of humor, as well as a lot of new people who think it's cruel to disagree with anything they post, no matter how wrong it may be.
