Which direction we are going. There's no knowing where we're goin or which way the wind is blowing. Is it raining? Is it snowing? Is a hurricane a-blowing? Not a speck of light is showing, so the danger must be growing! Oh, the fires of hell are glowing! Is the grisly reaper mowing? Yes! The danger must be growing! For the rowers keep on rowing And they're certainly not showing Any signs that they are slowing!
Hmm... My friend Tim started singing this song as we were high one day after school going through one of the nearby river reservoir tunnels. Makes me chuckle to think about it. Hee hee.
I scared my friend when we were high by singin it very soft and slow and kinda like I was running out of breath.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!" He took his vorpal sword in hand: Long time the manxome foe he sought -- So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood awhile in thought. And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came! One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back. "And, has thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy. `Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
The first stanza of that used to be in my sig, but it was coordinated so the letters were colored according to my synesthesia.
i love jabberwocky, i illustrated it for an old art assignment and i made him slay the jabberwocky with a suction cup arrow.... :]
