here. Half the issues I bring up nobody cares about cause they are all Americans who don't care about the happenings outside their world. Are there any good sites like this one that are mainly comprised of Canadians? Cause I'm really sick of no one listening to me.
Just local politics, local issues, things in my community that just don't affect the world. The pit bull thing for one. Torontonians bashing Hamilton for another. Why would an American or anyone who's not Canadian care about or know about anything like that. Yes, I could do the searching myself, but I'm lazy and just asking for a shortcut.
i had the pit bull arguement on another forum. i say we let em stay, banning em outright is retarded. and as far as im aware torontonians don't really bash hamilitonians....hamilton is just dirty, the people aint bad.

That people in Toronto say HAMILTON is dirty. Toronto is the dirtiest place I've ever been (well, besides Manchester). They have far more pollution and litter, far more crime and drugs, and it seems to be less of a community than a place of business. Granted, the downtown buildings are falling apart, and we are an industrial city, but you cannot claim that Toronto doesn't have these problems, and in fact they are far worse. I thought it was hilarious when I saw a news report where they interviewed people from Scarborough, and they were all bashing Hamilton. I mean, please, SCARBOROUGH. That's the dirtiest place in Canada. I have yet to hear one legitimate complaint about Hamilton. And who gives a fuck about the sports teams, none of them are from the city they represent anyway....
Yes Hamilton is dirty, it's just that Toronto has all the 'pretty' buildings to disract away from their pollution. The factories are Hamilton's skyline.
that was a pretty sweet movie and i plan to use some of those statistics next time im having an arguement with someone about pit bulls. but as far as the t.o. hamilton debate goes... i have a grabdma that lives in scarbrough and my other grandma lived in hamilton. besides oshawa, and scarborough, hamilton is the dirtiest place i've ever been. the steel (or is it nickle?) shops around there...you can see it in the air. toronto has more crime and drugs, but also has ten times the population...as far as crime RATES go, per capita and all...oshawa takes the cake. the people from oshawa are far dirtier than the people from hamilton, but as a city i still look at hamilton being dirtier. lol ...though i would be too if i thought someone was bashing my hometown.
I adopted a pitbull cross from the local shelter and he's quite defensive of the house but once he's outside he's fine. He likes people and other dogs (except other unneutered males - I'm going to get it done). The other day a cop came to my door asking for directions and Mikey did not like that! He was jumping and growling at the door. Once he saw me talking to him without fear he was fine. I think the pitbull thing is stupid. Bad owners make bad dogs. I'm sure their are a few deviations just like with people but... Poor pups. Saje
I can't believe that ridiculous pitbull ban. Once again the governmnet provides us with a solution that, punishes good and decent people, and completely ignores the real problem. It is just a matter of time before another breed of dog is banned. Any breed of dog can become vicious when maltreated. Fuck ... I wouldn't be surprised if dogs were altogether outlawed in Canada in a decade! Just imagine what this country would be like if the logic behind the pitbull ban was used in other cases. We really have some morons running shit, don't we?
my dogs pitty/mixed shepard. If you are a male, He will assume you are an enemy until i prove you to be a friend (doesnt have much of a beef with strange females though). If someone jumped our fence and tried to go into our house, i think he would probably bite them. They're a primal breed, they play hard , and they love their owners like no other. i pity the fool that tries to attack me in site of my dog. I think he could actually kill someone in that situation. But his main focus in life is doing what i want him to. I cant lay a hand on him in anger - he pees with fear. If i beat him, he would lose all trust in me. All it takes is a hard voice and hes totally submissive. But he does have a concrete skull sometimes. Whenever he sees another dog, (that he doesnt know), he wants to fight. No amount of training has fixed that in him. its just hard wired into his brain, so i dont take him to off leash parks, and i have a muzzle if i walk him in public. Hes not the easiest dog to own, but hes so damn entertaining and expressive that i dont care at all. Some people are too dumb to own these dogs though. Theyre the ones that encourage agression and then leave their dog behind a two foot fence when they go to work. then the govt assumes that the whole population is that stupid and irresponsible.
