Anyone here practice it or have insightful knowledge of what it's all about? I came across "The Book of the Law" and it's very interesting to me. I'd like some help understanding it.

Note: I'm not actually interested in practicing Thelma, I just would like to know of an understand different things. Only one life to live, I want to see as much as I can see and know as much as I can know in that time.

Kind of the 'dark side' of paganism/witchcraft. Aleister Crowley and whatnot.

In a nutshell, my two cents on it. Thaumaturge, ceremonial magick's, Tarot, Christian or Muslim Prayer all tap the same source of power. These are all simply belief systems structured in such a way as to make it more possible for one who otherwise has no faith in his or her higher self to tap and control these energies which make up everything. My two cent's, may as well grab a copy of the Necronomicon.

Another two cents on that, the reason one fails or succeeds in their attempts is in direct relation to their own ability to better focus their own will against that of the collective wills of those consciously working against them.

And just to make it an even 6 cents (Little pun there I guess) It's really really pointless, the works you do will require attention down the road, it's by no means a low-maintenance "hobby", theres a reason why Organized religion's work so hard to gain so many followers, things can bite you in the ass, you might get what you wish for...

But hey, check it out at least.

Another favorite of mine is Enochian Magick.

And one more point, dont take anyones word for anything with this stuff, it's a matter of self expression and exploration. Only you can truly light your path between yourself and the divine. Everything and anything else just seems to devolve into the same tripe, dogma and rhetoric that most organized religions are guilty of.

Too many Pagans consider any sort of serious occult dealings "dark".

If you're REALLY interested i'd advise you to head over to occultcorpus.com
