In response to the above post , I have to bring a bit of balance here and state that Ukraine is also using plenty of Soviet era equipment and cold war era equipment cast off from NATO members . That is why its going to be a costly war for both sides .
This guy I reckon will be a goner in the not so distant future . He is already unpopular with his people and should Belarus troops be lost in engagements ,will seal his fate . This latter point has probably kept them out of it so far apart from allowing Russian troops to launch attacks from its soil .
In my view the Russians are still make progress albeit slow and the Ukranian forces despite localised counter attacks with some victories are unable to stem the tide . I still think the Russian military will settle for the Donbas and some sort of cease fire will be called for. Whether it is accepted of course will be another thing . I dont think the Russians have the equipment, military capability nor the stomach for a prolonged fight in the Ukraine .At some stage troops will need to be rested and perhaps go home and then tongues will start wagging as to what a hell hole this campaign has been for them . This I suspect is when Putin will come under pressure but may stave this off, if he as the captured Donbas Region to show to his people
A Ukranian captured tank by Russian forces. A T72M1 ,the type supplied by Poland . This shows 2 things Ukraine are losing the war and Western equipment is getting through but still in too small numbers to make an impact . The fact that Ukraine are losing this war is perhaps part of the reason its not covered as much in Western Media TV News Channels
#Ukraine: The 1st confirmed loss of a Pbv-501A IFV (a Swedish variant of the BMP-1) - 56 of them were delivered from Czechia to Ukraine. Interestingly, images were shared by one of Ukrainian brigades as a Russian loss, however there is no visual evidence it was used by Russians.
A British supplied Alvis Mamba .Captured by the Russians. Captured in June . Sometimes it takes a while for images to get through
An Australian Bushmaster mine clearing vehicle destroyed. I had heard rumours that the Ukrainian forces were receiving these
A British supplied Saxon . This could be amongst the number that were supplied to the Ukraine before the conflict .
Nothing much to report on interesting captured Russian vehicles except this BTR 82 troop carrier This has been used in a parade as its parade markings can clearly be seen and is quite new.
