The Dentists are what happened when the best 60s psychedelic bands met The Smiths.

I love the Smiths, especially Morrissey, he was such an amazing writer and singer... don't really care for The Cure though.

    I love the Smiths.

There is this wicked live cover of "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" that Johnny Marr did with Neil Finn that you could try checking out. It's on an album called 7 Worlds Collide, it's taken from a series of gigs Finn did with Eddie Veder, Johnny Marr and so on. It's awesome.

anyways, the smiths get irritating after awhile due to morrisey's whiney voice.... but they were a good band, nonetheless. I like the cure too, even if its all EMO

anybody who says that the smiths suck obviously don't know much when it comes to good music. morrissey is easily one of the greatest songwriters of all-time -- no one can argue that.

The Smiths are really good - I mean, Morrissey! - but I like The Cure even more. Disintegration must be one of my favourite albums ever.

i enjoyed the the, as well, though they're more of a tangent, really. not really the same thing, but i've always associated them with my favorites.
