i row my boat down the river,
i fall into the water it's cold, and i shiver.

i get back in my boat,
    once again i'm afloat.

to the shore is where i aime to go,
but how to get there is what i don't know.

i paddle frantically, but it seems,
as if i'm trying to go up stream.

by the time i get my boat turned around
i'm frozen in fear by a most disturbing sound.

    quickly i am approaching,
white fierce rapids, there will be no more coasting.

once past the rapids it'll be a breeze,
but it's hard to tell about all tha's unseen.

accept the river for what it is
flow with it and try to exist.

sometimes it's calm sometimes it's rough,
but it won't let you go until its had enough
