Let us all have a moment of groping ourselves (and each other) in respect for what he stood for.

I'm glad he's dead. He was nothing but a cancer on society.

Funny, he found the "Liberty Foundation" when he stood for everything but. Maybe his death will spring good into the world.

    American televangelist.

Here's some info about this great man:

-After the September 11, 2001 attacks, Falwell said on the 700 Club, "I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'"

    - As for homosexuality, Falwell remarked, "AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals."

-During the Civil Rights Movement Falwell was a supporter of racial segregation. He said this about Martin Luther King: "I do question the sincerity of people like the Reverend Martin Luther King..."

-In 1965 Reverend Falwell gave a sermon at his Thomas Road Baptist Church criticizing Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement, which he sometimes referred to as the Civil Wrongs Movement.

Well said, well said. The sad thing is, people like him have spawned a whole new generation of bigots. And they're the ones we have to deal with.

Lol, dumb ****. Excuse my language but seriously...does this guy really think that he's going to go to "Heaven"? Good riddance.

^^ He'll only be missed by many other stupid morons, so they don't really count.

amp7325, you are not insensitive. this man was pure evil. he preached hatred of gays, lesbians, transgendered & racial minorities. he was a horrible person who does not deserve any sort of memorial. unfortunately, you will have a lot of republicans saying he was a wonderful man. the same fucking bull shit that was said 3 years ago when reagan died.

Heh, no need to feel so. The guy was a stupid moron who didn't really deserve to live. People like that really can't change their views on such topics, so he's better off dead.

I have to agree with *Andy* on this one,..He was a complete liability to the human race.A sick individgual that preached hate to the masses,(If there is a heaven he'll never get there),A slime of a human.Unfortunately like bckmar said There will be alot of people fanatically crying at his funeral. When people like him speal of "Evil",..They should have a good look in the mirror and look at their own hatred. It's sad that people like him can gain influence and power over so many,It trully says something about our society. One poster here said this in their tag,(or something to this effect),.."It says something about our society when we'd rather see 2 men holding guns instead of 2 men holding hands"

I feel nothing, actually wish all those hypocrite a**holes would drop dead and go to a hell filled with there own hatred. F**k Him!!!,.[IMG]

I guess I just felt a bit insensitive because I'm always really deeply affected when someone I know, or even someone that I've only heard of, dies.

However, this guy was a total douchebag, and therefore, deserves no respect.

I'm sure Falwell often told anyone who would listen that LGBT people were 'better off dead', 'a complete liability to the human race', 'don't deserve any respect', 'nothing but a cancer on society', etc. What makes you more right about him than he was about us? As a pansexual transguy, just about everything that Falwell stood for makes me sick. But this man had a family, friends, people who cared about him. No matter his political beliefs, have just a *little* bit of compassion. His hatred does not justify yours.

^^Hitler had family, friends and people who cared about him too. Maybe we should have just a *little* bit of compassion for him as well.
