Now, I'll say this first off, I'm not a techno fan. But these guys are pretty good. I've only heard a few songs, but it's actuallly decent writing (except for the occasional synthesized drum break ) And really catchy. I'm especially turned on to "Clark Gable". Anyone heard of em'?
1st- I'm not high on anything. 2nd- Have you ever heard them? And like I said, I'm usually not turned onto this type of music, but it's pretty unique. 3rd- There, if fixed it. I do make mistakes.
i love the postal service...they are different from anythign else ive heard...i think the singer is from Death Cab for Cutie? I may be wrong...just going off sound. But anyway, their lyrics are very interesting and the songs are very catchy...not in some trashy pop kind of way i really like natural anthem...the looong intro is very thought provoking, esp when im driving
I know a few of their songs, I'm not sure if what genre it belongs to, Sleeping In is a pretty nice, laid back song.
I love the postal service… and kinda amazed by them as well. They aren’t doing much of anything wildly original, yet there really aren’t too many others doing anything similar (Bright Eyes’ Digital Ash in a Digital Urn is all that really comes to mind). I’d have to classify them simply as electronica. Natural Anthem is also one of my favorites, lovely dnb and awesome lyrics at the end. Great driving song! The Dream of Evan and Chan is right up there with it though, although it’s not technically the postal service, but D’Ntel, the guy who writes the music. That was the first song he did with Death Cab’s singer and how Postal Service got started, if I’m not mistaken. Oh yeah, and I find that cover of Phil Collin’s Against All Odds quite hilarious… first time I heard it at a party, everybody was singing along… “so take a look at me nooowwww!” hahaha… classic
they are alright, not what i normally listen, but its good music. The lyrics arent the greatest part of them in my opinion, but i just like their sound.
