11:20 Beer store. No sooner do I upload it,, do I get notification from youtube . copyright for the fucking music in the store.. smh
Havnt had that one but I would guess it's 50/50 between a bad beer and you don't like raspberry sours. (90% the brewery if you like other sours)
During my flight at zeds beers. I finish it and the tender says you got more in your glass and pushes it back In front of me. I should have taken a pic. No lie it was about 3 raindrops of liquid and less than a gram of foam.
TropiCannon Citrus IPA | Heavy Seas Beer. I like it. usually dont like IPA, but this one is nice. creamy taste, nice color, taste like orange juice.
I don't know how many times I've come across the girl in that first pic... in fact, I'm pretty sure I used that picture when making the wallpaper for my Second Life store (that still hasn't opened after getting started on it 8 years ago!) But yeah, she's totally hot hot hot. The girl in the 2nd pic? Also hot... and most likely the person I'd hang out with out of everyone in that room.
Which brings me to... Hello there! Sorry for missing last weekend, but I'm back now. (Summer really takes me out of my weekly game.) Anywayz... I already finished my first beer and will hit up the second as soon as I post this. But, sticking with the first one for now... Beer #1: (Alc. 4.8%) (Blue Point - Mosaic Session IPA with Cucumber) Smell: Bright citrus and sweet pith. Hints of black pepper in the cracker body. Possible pine resin in the background. Taste: Somewhat bold cucumber with hints of citrus. Moments later, slightly dank pith meanders by as hints of pine resin trail through the back end. Overall, not a bad session brew. It has some body to the none-to-shy flavor of (mainly) cucumber, then slightly bitter, dry hops. I could be wrong, but I think the cucumber builds throughout. (No pic on this one... I mean, trying to find a half-dirty pic with cucumbers is, well, they're all quite raunchy, lol. Moreso than I prefer for these posts.)
And that ends the easy going portion of the night. Now we're on to the more intense brews of the evening! (Switching from traditional Pint Glass to Snifter for these next two.) Beer #2: (Alc. 12%) (Jughandle - 4-Way Stop Aged in White Wine Barrels) Aaaaand... just realized I've already reviewed this one. See previous review here: The Kick Box - On Hip! (I shoulda gotten the rum barrel aged one) blarg __________
Oh shit... it's been over 2 fucking hours since I opened #2? The hell is wrong with me? (I know, that last beer was a bitch to drink!) Anyshits... on to.. Beer #3: (Alc. 11%) (Stillwater - Critical Thinking) Smellin: Black vanilla, bitter chocolate, and espresso notes. Slightly bready body. Hints of oak, pepper and spice. Tastin: Sweet smokey oak, vanilla, espresso come forward first. Dark chocolate deftly slides in. Easy biscuit backbone courts hints of bitter hops. Overallin, this is a bit sweeter than I expected, but fairly solid anyway. Hard to go wrong with Stillwater. Even if the sweetness borders on being closer to a raisin melody. But yeah, smoky and dark. If I had to distill it down to two flavors, I'd probably go with oak and vanilla. And, finally, one pic for the night. Nothing very naughty, but super hawt anywayz...
I kinda wish it had... unfortunately it's more like, #2 sat me squarely on, "I guess I have to drink this $11 beer, because I ain't dumping a fucking$11 beer" lol
Aaand a week later... yup, that was my last post, last round. Now I'm on my first post of this round! (And yes, I did get a late start tonight.) I'm just about to finish the first beer of the night. So, the next review should come fairly quickly. But yeah... Beer #1: (Alc. 6.5%) (Flying Monkeys - Juicy Ass IPA) Smell: Pineapple heads up first, bringing grapefruit along with it. Lightly bready backbone. A touch of pine, with some grass notes in the backgound. Taste: Passionfruit leads the way, both sweet and pithy. A light, biscuit backbone backs it up, with faint tangerine notes. A hint of bitter pine resin in the finish. Overall, not bad at all. More body than you might expect. The more bitter notes are coming out in the second half, possibly due to warming up a bit. But yeah, it's nice... especially the creamier start with a thick, thick head that had me double checking if it had been made with lactose (it's not). Fairly solid IPA. And, yeah, this one totally gets a pic! (Not TOO juicy though, since it was only 6.5% alc., lol)
You're right, I totally could have. I was rushing because I started so late. But yeah, not a bad beer at all. Although, I probably prefer the one I'm drinking now. Which I'm about to post the review of. (Without a pic, because... I'm not spending half an hour looking for something that fits this one.) Anyway... it was a good beer. I've had better, but it was up there in the beers that fall well within yummy standings.
Speaking of yummy beers... have I told you about my second brew of the night? No? Well, friends, let me get to that sheeyat! Beer #2: (Alc. 8.5%) (Southern Tier - Psychic Laser) Smellin: Subdued, very faint dank orange and banana clove. A bready backbone steps up with a bit of hay funk. A citrus reminder on the back end with a piney side-kick. Tastin: Unassuming dank orange/banana clove lead the way. Moderate hay funk served on a biscuity cracker up next. Closed out with a faint citrus/pine backbeat. Overall, while this was a bit difficult to pin down in smell/taste, it's a great entry in heavy IPAs. Definitely has a unique, thick flavor! I'm finding it rather pleasant, as the funk isn't pronounced and is just a part of the whole.
