These people are well intended. I'm a military brat, grew up around CIA and seals, and quite a few British. The British are more democratic than the US, and believe in promoting democracy and human rights more. The US treats war like a money making venture. If we can make a little money off defending our own interests and promoting human rights, we go for it.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed during a press briefing Friday that many employees would be required to get the coronavirus vaccine but that people in federal custody at the U.S.-Mexico border would not be required, nor be able, to get it.

At the moment we're dealing with the too many goddamn Americans who won't get vaccinated, aka idiots. Once we can get enough of our own taken care of (one way or another) then we can focus on other countries and their refugees. While I hate the idea of mandates it appears the only way we'll ever reach decent herd immunity.

I think this is more of a rhetorical question.

It seems to want the reader to question the Biden administration.

But I think the reasons for wanting vaccination are solid.

And I don't think that the author really cares one way or another whether or not migrants can be or are vaccinated.

It seems to me though that money probably plays into an answer to his baited question.

If aid were given to migrants at the border - in the form of vaccination as the case would have it, what then would be the storyline? Open borders no doubt. Something about hardworking taxpaying 'Muricans.

Well, I think too that something needs to be done to mitigate the risk posed by unvaccinated visitors.

But I think they're probably taking temperatures and making sure people aren't sick.

 

Border Patrol not testing migrants for COVID before they're released across US


Migrants who illegally come across the U.S.-Mexico border and are apprehended by Border Patrol are not being tested for the coronavirus before being released from custody and allowed to travel across the United States, the Washington Examiner has learned.

“They aren’t tested at encounter. [Unaccompanied children] and family units are moved out of custody quickly. If they are infected and do not have obvious symptoms, they are sent out,” a senior Customs and Border Protection official told the Washington Examiner on Monday. The official is not a union member and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

 

They should be tested for the coronavirus, and we should return to the old tradition of testing all immigrants for TB

West Virginia is famous for being the destination of Japanese college students, whose parents were stupid enough to merely pay attention to which state has the lowest crime rate, because they're so few people, and they're sort of spread out, and don't have a great deal of police to cover all the mountains, and don't exactly know just how much crime occurs.

President Joe Biden's town hall on Wednesday produced a number of moments when the president appeared to lose his train of thought.

In one exchange with host CNN host Don Lemon, the 78-year-old president rambled for around 30 seconds when answering a question about vaccinations getting permanently approved by the Federal Drug Administration and the potential of children under the age of 12 getting vaccinated.

 

Shit, I lost my train of thought just writing this.

 

Trump rambles on for hours every time he speaks... Nothin' wrong with that.
