    The Hua-Hu Ching, attributed to Lao Tzu. "His unknown teachings".

    A good, entertaining read, despite that it's a forgery. Might not want to read beyond chapter 50 (give or take) if you want to take any of it seriously.

    Oh yeah, and don't mention this text to a real Chinese Buddhist. It's still a source of bad blood among them, because it was written to try to undermine Buddhism in China.

    In reality, both sides created forgeries like this to gain followers. This is a good example of what was going on in China circa 300 CE - 900 CE.

    All original copies of the Hua-Hu Ching were eventually burned.
