hey everyone! I just want to share my spooky experiences in the house i grew up in with you all.

I don't know if anyone outside the UK has ever heard of the Acid Bath murderer? If you haven't here's a little background information, John George Haigh set up a warehouse in my town during the first half of the 20th century he was a socialiser who was friends with very well off people, he would work his way into their groups and established contacts with them. He would eventually murder them to gain their fortunes and dissolve their bodies in acid and tip the vats down the drain in his warehouse.

I lived less than a stones throw away from where his warehouse once stood and i am certain to this day that a lot of the paranormal activity i experienced in that house was connected to the murders.

When i was young, i would aften dream of an old lady and a young man trying to communicate with me, i often saw ghostly sillouettes and i would have night terrors, most of the time i couldn't tell the diffrence between bieng asleep and bieng awake, i used to have some horrible dreams that felt so real, a lot of them had religious symbols in them, such as the hand of god and the eye of the devil. I also used to wake up in the middle of the night bieng sick for no reason. Although that could be put down to overindulging on sweets as a kid usually does, we had so many problems with our drainage systems and our power supply as well, power cuts were very frequent and they would go out for hours at a time. I used to be really frightened of the toilet and the boiler for some reason too.

One vivid memory i have was when i was dozing off, i heard someone whispering my name in my ear, which started off quiet, but got louder and louder until it woke me up. And as soon as i woke up it dissapeared.

What made it even more spooky was when we moved out. The man who lived next door to us hanged himself in his bedroom for no reason whatsoever, we thaught it was so strange because he seemed so happy. This was also the house that we were living in when my brother got killed.

We didn't live that far away from a morgue and the hospital neither, both places of extreme sadness and loss.

Whilst i was living there, i had no knowledge of the murders, until my Nan told me that Haigh used to go out with her music teacher and would sometimes drive her home after her music lessons. She said he was so charismatic and you would have never suspected him of doing anything like that. She also said she was so shocked when they found out what he did.

I later learnt that Haigh had killed an old lady in the warehouse, which kinda freaked me out a bit. Especially after seeing photographs of the old lady, who looked rather simalar to the one who was trying to communicate with me. Haigh was found out when police uncovered the old lady's false teeth which hadn't dissolved in the acid. He pleaded insanity when he was found out. and was one of the last people to be hanged in Britain.

The old lady and the young man's prescence never really bothered me, although i think they were frustrated at not bieng able to contact any of us. But there was definately something else which was a bit eerie.

Say what you want about the existance of ghosts and spirits, but after my early encounters with them i do believe that they exist. And i hope you enjoyed hearing about them [IMG]

I cant believe you would continue to live there as long as you did. 1st paranorma thing I saw I wouldve left so quick. The part about the person killing theirself for no reason reminds me about the new movie 1408. I saw a ghost one time and damn, never felt that scared in my life.
