The Existence Tree

I have an idea. Im gonna need a lot of help with it too. I want to make a tree, where the root is all of existance and it branches out into everything that is related. I'll show you what I am thinking of, but if you have any better ideas, feel free to contribute because I'm not the best philosopher in the world.

here's my little idea

Yeah. I thought it was quite the opposite, but I'm no philosopher.

 

I don't know, guys. I just had the idea. Piecing together and dissecting the pieces of reality is really not my specialty! That's why I need help with this thing.

I think of time and space as a singular entity. I think the word is space-time.

 

I think life is more than just laws of physics. or maybe that's just consciousness.?

 

Because religion is the byproduct of an articulate mind

It's a good idea, however it would be hard to pull off without looking muddy. All the lines would begin to criss cross with one another.

 

Our ignoriant current ideas of the laws of physics are the begining of our own attempts to do what you're doing. Yours just seems to have misdirection where science has some other fucking problem that I don't understand.

I think in the end, science will explane it all. And if that isn't possable... it just means that none of this is real.

 

Yeah I don't understand why intelligence branches straight into religion either. "Logic" should be in there somewhere.

 

i think this is an interesting idea, but i think you have to start in the middle, and i dont know if existence is appropriate. what exists? do concepts exist? they are not physical. or is it experience of this existence personally, which would include feelings like love. does love exist, or is it just in your head?

so maybe physical existence could be a separate tier to "all", but i don't know what youd call the other tier, emotional ? conceptual?

 

I think the only completely accurate way to do this is just to write the words "All of Existence" and have NO branches, so that way it is all-inclusive. But that's no fun

You should have a separate branch area for man's primative being. Social interaction isn't necessarily something done by intelligence. It's a base animal instinct. Also development of technology and laws of physics should be connected.

 

i think you should use an outline format, and argue with 'paint ' when you have a better overall idea what its going to look like.

bigger brain- self awareness comes before time (we made it up, so we could measure it)

 

That makes so sense to be. Bigger brains came from cooking food which caused us to matobolize it much more efficently, which let us use the massive amount of energy that it takes to digest raw food for other means.

Time was around long before this planet was a few grains of dust orbiting eachother. Time pre-dates matter of all forms, on that note.

 

this is why I need someone like you. I have no Idea what this thing is supposed to look like. I'm not the only one with paint and a photobucket.

 

time is constant in that sense, but the concept of time is made up. even a light-year is based on the earth-year, so its only applicable to our earth existence. of course, if that is the perspective we want to use then so be it.

**physical-planet formation/geophysics (i think)
-evolution of life-plants, animals
-evolution specific to humanity-awareness of self, organizing thoughts/ concepts such as time, agriculture, domestication, systems of religion and government(starting at the tribal type level, not starting with the development of modern government)

actually i have to recommend a documentary here. i think the title is misleading, although it is fun to laugh at creationists, but it focuses on evolution and why our ancestral cousins didn't make it. plus vestigial organs and stuff too.
