Jesus you method of dealing with the KKK begs the question why others didn’t do this successfully in the past? Do you honestly think you could have operated like that in the south of pre fifties America? This seems to highlight a certain naivety on your part and an ignorance of both the history and psychology of the time and place. Now I’m not trying to insult you, ignorance is nothing to be ashamed of, show me someone who claims to know everything and I’ll show you a fool.

You claim that “there will always be plenty of people who understand the constitution and will come to it's aid” but as I’ve pointed out, there are numerous occasions when fellow citizens needed that aid and it wasn’t forthcoming, to which I have been asking why?

You have I think a rather naive belief that the state would make it obvious to others that when they come for someone it is to violate their rights. Do you think any state is incapable of setting up someone if it so wished? Once that set up is in place using force against them only allows them to escalate the situation and in a dispute between a few citizens and the resources the state can apply those citizens, however well armed, are going to loose. Unless you think that such a defence would bring about, in your case, the complete mutiny of the US military, which I would say was very naïve thinking.

When I brought up the example of Prager (but he is far from being alone) I was trying to highlight what I see as a problem within US politics. I was hoping that I would be told that such ideas are part of the political fringe, I was not, in fact it seemed to be accepted. What seemed worse to me was that others rather than condemn it outright seemed more interested in spreading the blame.

Even now you are content to call Prager a dumbass and buffoon, but remember people said the same of McCarthy and many like George Seldes later found themselves blacklisted.
