It was a while ago now, but I've finally got some pictures sorted from radio 1's big weekend at Penshaw... There is the monument itself hiding behind the main stage. The Magic Numbers - Who were very good indeed! Interpol - Marvellous stuff Basement Jaxx - Or rather the lights of. They were amazing, plus it was Felix's birthday so they seemed to be having just as much of a party as the crowd! There's more pictures of the Jaxx's lights! But I'll spare you those. We also saw; Do Me Bad Things (who sucked) and Jamiroquia who was actually pretty good. And while I'm on, Newcastle had another free festival to offer it's locals yesterday - Managed to see The Ordinary Boys, Dizzie Rascal and Super Furry Animals! For free! Good times!
Also I've tried five times now to reduce the size of these here pictures, as you can see I've had no luck. If they cause any problems I'll take them down.
Woo, hope I get to see them at Glasto! Nice pictures, looks like you ... er .. went to ... a ... festival.
Went to a festival I did 'The Big Weekend' really was quite sweet - Apparently The Chemical Brothers on Saturday was the best gig any of my friends had been to - I was only in attendance for Sunday. But aye, it were grand. Managed to swipe a couple of pictures of this 'Orange Evolution Festival' too... This is the 'Innovation Stage' - And like I say, I caught The Ordinary Boys and Dizzie Rascal on here. Then... Super Furry Animals And although this is a professional shot, it was taken from where I was stood - There were three photographers behind me bustling around, naturally I wasn't giving up my front row position for anyone. But it seems they managed alright!
Basement Jaxx were outstanding live! And to be honest, when I'd heard studio stuff it never really made an impression, nothing too major anyway. It was catching a live performance on the tele that made me want to see them. And since doing so the studio stuff certainly rocks now!
hahaha i wne to that both days, not that i can remmeber an awful lot from it i kept losing my mates which was annoying when drunk, rambling around a really muddy place when drunk.....not a good combination.
The Magic Numbers ROCK! I hope I see them at Lowlands! And to see the Furries for free.. man that does bloody ROCK GRAND photos!
