Rat buddy, if you need me to mail you a pack of Shiner, just ask. I've had those nights, lost all self respect. You'll wake up and apologize at the tv for yelling at it, and try to regain some dignity.
I'm a bit low on cash this week, and I wanted something that would give me a quick buzz. I am a bit stressed out from work this week and tomorrow is my one day off. It is certainly nothing I would drink on a regular basis. I just didn't feel like anything fancy tonight.
Frankly, I don't think Steel Reserve is all that bad for being what it is. There is far worse. It could be St. Ides or Olde English. It's certainly no worse than Bud or any of the other mass-produced American swill. It really doesn't have much taste to it at all... and it does the trick.
you aren't drinking a 40, are you? that would be kind of funny. why didn't you pick up some Ballantine or something?
I had a friend, real sweet who swore by the stuff. She was an alcoholic. But I've had steel reserve this year too, so I'm not looking down on you or anything. Does get the job done.
No, I am not that ghetto. And they don't sell Ballantine at most places around here, which kind of sucks because I really like Ballantine, especially in the summer when it's like 98 degrees outside.
Yeah, I am no alcoholic. I only drink one or two nights out of the week (when I have off the next day), if even that.
it seems difficult to get Ballantine anywhere beyond the immediate outskirts of NYC. I on the other hand am rather ghetto and habitually low on cash and it's the only thing that comes in a 40 that I actively like. Steel Reserve is okay, it's my favorite malt liquor anyway.
Mine was a warm Black Label Light :ack: I'm drinking a Mirror Pond Pale Ale from the Deschutes Brewery, tastes like honey.
