Since this is the classic section try:
The Man Who Would be King with Sean Connery and Michael Caine
Based on a Kipling story about two ex British soldiers setting up a kingdom somewhere around Napal in the 1800's, very good action movie.
The Emerald Forest Powers Booth I believe. Based on a true story about a little kid who gets kidnapped by "the Invisables (I think)" a South American tribe in the 50's and his father's search for him, he heads into the jungle with a machine gun.
Zulu Michael Caine, based on a true occurrence in Africa in the 1800's. About 200 English soldiers are surrounded by 4000 Zulu warriors and must fight for their lives.
Seven Years in Tibet, Brad Pitt. True story of a German Nazi befriending the Dalai Lama during WWII.
Probably all are only available on Netflix or the net.

Or how about Second Hand Lions Guess what? Michael Caine again with Robert Duval About a kid growing up living with his eccentric uncles.

If you like these I have lots more.

Scarecrow! Sounds creepy! But then so is that illusive thing called 'The American Dream'.
Al Pacino and Gene Hackman are the two ex cons trying to make it home and coming up agains't everything Red Neck America can fling at them! This is a harrowing tale of two not so innocents trying to humanize their human predicament. There are shades of Steinbeck in the bleak social realism and obvious references to the Method Acting these two great actors employ! I would say...Never a Dull Moment!... But Alas! As Life! Can't promise everything! Nevertheless, Well worth a watch... Classic 70's... Enjoy!

my favourite film ever... Seen so many so soooooooooo difficult but must say...
JAWS! The camera work, the script, the recurring psychological effect, the portrayal of the dangers of the sea yet beauty of the dangers, the characters... All faultless!
Plus it took so long to film and was filmed out at sea and in a large swimming pool (don't see films shot at sea for real these days)
Plus it has one of the best individual speeches in film history if not the best! Quints Indeannapolis one
