I've known about these guys for a while, but i looked at their website www.aussiefloyd.com yesterday, and it's amazing! i know it's not the real thing but it's kinda close, and if they toured in the UK then i'd go and see them - check out the downloads, it's pretty impressive. Jaz
i saw them a few years back, and they were outstanding!!!! david gilmor hired them for his birthday party and said they were better than the real pink floyd....
well if they tour again i'd go see them, its well worth it! close your eyes and it may has well be pink floyd up on stage!
i saw them in a small theatre called the beaufort theatre a few years back, its a little theatre/club where my parents live in ebbw vale, its a pretty good place, saw robert plant, lonnie donigan, mann, jan akkerman (of focus) and fairport convension there as well....
i have seen these guys, and all i will say is that if you get the chance to see them you HAVE to go. they are amazing. great gig in the sky is sung without missing a single note! if they tour again i think we should all go together. that would be wikkid! peace and love stardust xxx
We have a cover band here called "which One's Pink?' They'll b playing a place called The Vault 350 in Long Beach on the 20th.
I actually seen Aussie Pink Floyd for the last 2 years, but unfortunately their european leg of this years tour is actually in Germany of all places! Humph. They are endorsed by pink floyd themselves, even roger waters likes them i think. Their stage show is amazing especially the video screen with their own images depicting "the wall". With walking hammers in the shape of kangaroos and the teacher image is particulary well done. Not to mention the lasers etc. I catch them at the UEA (University of East Anglia).
I've seen them a couple of times, with Danny. They are amazing, but they haven't been the same for me since I saw Roger Waters play at Glastonbury. They're a fantastic cover band though....
I think they're on a tour at the minute, Jaz. I know I was hoping to catch them in Newcastle next month, but it looks like I'll be stuck at work instead, or sick I saw a band called 'Think Floyd' a couple of years ago, they weren't bad at all. The were performing "The Wall" and didn't speak to us for the first hour, but apologised later saying, "There are no cracks in the waaaall". I hear better things about Oz Floyd like and they're in a far bigger venue next month, so their light show must be pretty sweet too.
aye they are good, they played in clarmont fan court gardens, just past the woods where i live... aaand it was great we didn't pay to go we just sat outside on the green and it was a warm night, the window was lslightly blowing it over our way and we listened to them... it was real loud and so much fun.. free live music.. really enjoyable
Yeah they are playing Bournemouth too.. I'd recheck the dates danny.. they are in the uk at the mo... Shame I dont dig the Floyd or I'd go
We saw them when they came through Seattle last year. I would go again. It was awesome - Dark Side of the Moon in it's entirety. And they did 'Be Careful with that Ax, Eugene' (without the screaming). Very well done - worth the money for sure.
That's quite the guitar teacher Adam has! Like I say, they were pretty great. Turns out I am sick on Thursday, so I'll get to see them afterall!
