    The Animals are Truly Free

    I went on a walk

    To have a talk

With the birds and the trees and everything around me

I talked to the tree and this is what it said to me

    “I have seen many things.

All types of creatures, birds, rabbits, and bees.

    I have seen many people

    The rich and the poor

I have seen a society filled with love and peace and so much more

Turn into one filled with hatred and war.”

    So I went on

    And found a small bug

It said to me “Why cant we all just have peace and love?

People try to step on me simply because I am different

From all the other creatures that have come and went this way.”

I finally came to the river

Where I found a little bird

She said to me “Everyone wants to have money and cars

But they do not know how wonderful it is

To be so far from that

To truly be free like me and the bug and the tree

And like all of us should truly be.”

yeah for the equality of sentient beings!
we are all free, unless we think otherwise,
and animals don't think they act and dream.
your poem was sensitive and kind. i enjoyed it.
