its just too much $ for me this year, last year i payed $75 for 3 nights of cheese, i cant pay 115 for 2 nights of ratdog, legend as he is i cant afford it now.
im definately thinking about getting to this show....i love to take my daughter, she enjoys the dance and all the attention from all the people...i have only made it to one of the Jerry's birthday's and that was lord 9 years ago, i think
Look everybody, cheese or rat dog? okay i dont really like either that much, but it will be fun to see Bobby so therefore its seems right payin more for bobby than cheese and besides, Trips farm is only the greatest place on earth! So what if they dont get the lineups that walther does, at least if you're going to trips you know that the scene is going to be awesome, its all about the farm and good people and family. Its the east coasts party if it has one.!!!Come on out and dance with me!
The reason I care about the $ is because I don't have it, Id love to go to trips farm again and relive my 19th annual experience, but i won't be. I'd much rather see cheese at trips than at marvins too, that goes the same with every band pretty much actually, but I just think $75 for 3 nights of incident cant be beat by 115 for 2 nights of dog, even though i want to see bobby before his time is up I would rather go to a more affordable garcia celebration.
funny thing is i have never been to trips place...not once...i have been doing the scene for about 10 years now....had tons of wilmer's park experiences, been to all good....and it has yet worked out to go to Trip's at all.... i think i am the only one of my friends who hasnt been there.. what is wrong with me people?
If you're travelling from the east: WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT FOR THE COPS IN GARRETT CO. MD. SHIT FROM CUMBERLAND ON ITS NOT SAFE AND THEY WILL BE LOOKING FOR YOU! DO NOT GO 1 MI OVER THE SPEED LIMIT. BE AS INCOGNITO AS POSSIBLE THEY WILL BE LOOKING FOR YOU. 42 PEOPLE GOT BUSTED IN GARRETT CO ON THE WAY TO ALL GOOD LAST WEEK. DON'T LET THOSE NAZZI COCKSUCKERS GET YOU TOO. IF YOU DON'T REALLY NEED IT LEAVE IT AT HOME. Of course that won't stop them from pulling you over and strewing your shit all over the highway cause "the dog gave them a positive signal". Just a warning from past experience. Do w/ it what you will. People WILL get busted in MD on the way to SSDD. Don't let it be you. Be SMART!
I know... the first time I road up to the farm I went with a veteran and was taught to be safe through maryland. I saw all the kids last year on the way to the bash on the side of the road, it was really sad. I'll definitely be very careful.
3 days and I'm on my way!!! P.S. I got a great percolater over the weekend, so I'll be making the best coffee at the show!!!
Yeah, I was there. I think that two nights of Ratdog was completely worth the $115, plus all of the other good bands that were there. Oh, and Maryland isn't such a bad place, neither is Garrett County. Or perhaps I'm biased because that's where I live. I think Nazi cocksuckers is a bit too strong a statement. Just don't give them a reason to pull you over and they more than likely won't. Go too fast and they'll have your ass. Western MD just like to enforce traffic laws a litle more strictly than most other places.
it was a great time...when'd ya get there? I was doing parking in the mornings, maybe you saw me pointing you to a spot!!! well anyway, I'm glad you had fun...but those cops were nazis... normal cops dont sit there in clusters and dont cover the whole god damned road going up. I was going under the speed limit. And I have been pulled over in the past for going less than 5 miles over the speed limit for my dead stickers so dont give me that bullshit.
I've gotta say that this was the best festival EVER! And I've been to more than my share! What a kind bunch of people! What great music! I was in the Ratdog.org camping area, so we got to park in our camping area! As far as cops go... I didn't call them "Nazi cocksuckers", just cut/paste the warning. I didn't see any either way, but I avoided MD. I heard they had lots of heads pulled over there though .
