    Yes, I already made one.
It's my favorite holiday and I'm a slut for food... gotta problem?

    Curried fruits and nuts.
    Spinach-Zucchini bread.
Cranberry soup with tri-citrus zest, ginger, and cilantro.
Mixed bitter green salad with jicama, leeks, radish, fennel, pecans, and poppy, sesame, and pumpkin seeds. Served with tahini dressing.
Steamed asparagus and green beans with balsamic drizzle.
Mashed roots with chives and dill.
Oyster and anchovy dressing with slow roasted tomatoes.
    Lemon infused cumin turkey.

    Cranberry Cheesecake.

make flour out of acorns, take a 1/2 cup of the flour, mix with the innards of a butternut squash,a egg a little salt an pepper.

make into patties and fry till golden brown..

in regard to the acorns, they must be properly processed to remove the tannins before you make flour out of them.lest ye get REAL sick..

there are actually a lot of delicious ways to prepare acorns, thats just one tasty example..

When you talked about collecting acorns before, I thought you were being facetious. I had no idea.

Me and Honeysuckleblue were trying to figure out how to do this festival with the least amount of tugging food and such.....perhaps we should gather acorns when we get there;)

Acorns are a reliable source of carbohydrates, protein, 6 vitamins, 8 minerals, and 18 amino acids, and they are lower in fat than most other nuts. One handful of acorns is equivalent in nutrition to a pound of fresh hamburger.

this is fascinating to me! I had NO idea.
