anyone grown any thai strains? i'm looking for a nice tasty thai type smoke :)

was checking dr chronic and they have 3 - super thai x skunk, thai widow, thai-tanic. anyone grown any of these or any other type of thai strain?

    Super Thai x Skunk

    Composition: 75% sativa, 25% indica
    Flowering-Time: 9-12 weeks
Environment: Fit for inside, outside, and greenhouse cultivation
Appearance: A tall, slender and slim plant
    Smell/Taste: A surprising high up!
    Height: Tall
    Yield: 200-500 gr.
    Harvest-Time: ± 15 October
    Origin: Thailand and California
    Type: F1 hybrid

    Thai Widow

When you combine White Widow and Super Thai you get long sticky buds in a tall graceful cannabis plant. Marijuana which is instant and powerful. An cannabis variety with an en extraordinary high. Thai widow was formerly known as Crystal lightning.
o Type: Super Thai X White Widow.
    o Indoor flowering: 56 - 84 days.
o Indoor yield: up to 500 gram per m².
o Outdoor flowering time: May / June to October.
    o Height: 75 - 250 cm.
    o Buzz: Powerful high.
    o Taste/Smell: soft spicy & sweet.

    Thai-Tanic

Developed : Thailand, USA, Holland, F-1 hybrid Sativa / Indica :Mostly Sativa Appearance :Very resinous, thick heavy buds
Smell / taste :Typical Thai, with Skunk undertones

High / strength :Extremely strong, a clear up high
    Yield per m2 :High
Sowing time :May / June Outdoor
    harvest :November (Holland)
    Flowering period :9 - 12 weeks (12 hrs indoor)

    11 seeds per pack.

Don't panic, this one will only take you up and up and up! A very compact Sativa variety, classic chocolate Thai smell and taste. The Skunk father dominates only in fast maturation, high yields and general vigour. A heavy crystal producer that is extremely potent with a trippy cerebral high.

also my new camera will be arriving in the next few days so i'll be able to restart me grow diary :)

Those descriptions sound delicious, but keep in mind seed companies tend to exaggerate, since their goal is to sell stuff.

Sativa's aren't nearly as popular as Indica's these days.
In most climes, the don't finish before the fall frosts, and indoors they take too long and take up too much vertical space. Indica's yield more in a smaller space quicker than sativa's.
But a sativa high is different than an indica high.
I prefer indica's for that pain-killing couchlock heavy stone, but when I'm gonna do something active like hiking I prefer sativa's for the clear-headed energenic high. For that reason, there is always a small space in my ebb n flo indoor garden for a few sativa's.
Unfortunately, sativa's also seem to induce paranoia, not a good thing when one lives in an area thick with bears and lions like I do, so I never smoke it home alone.

    hey rangerdanger

yeah they do sound delicious, as long as they taste it as well its all good :)

i've always grown statvia dominant strains ( although i'm only on my 3rd grow ), reason being over here indicas are usually easy to get hold of ( i guess commerical growers prefer them because of the quick turnaround ), but its rarer to get a nice satvia - and thats what i love, so thats what i grow :) in fact it was smoking a satvia one day, some amazing jack herer that i couldn't get hold of again, that made me decide to grow!

i know it takes longer, and my first plants grew taller than me, but the smoke was so worth it!

unlucky you get paranoid on satvias, i've never had it on a satvia strain, indicas have got me a few times though! i remember once picking up some gear where i'd picked up loads of times before, but this time he said to me arn't you worried about getting busted going back on the tube? nah i said, no worrys. got to the tube station and i was shitting it, thinking police were gonna pop out from all over and bust me! funny now, scary trip home though!

i like an indica late at night sometimes, like if i just wanna kinda veg out. but usually i'm smoking a satvia. ( well, now that i have a nice supply anyway ;) )

you can get some quick flowering satvias, grapefruits one i'm thinking of growing, 8 weeks i think

if your interested i found a good review of the thai-tanic, and i've heard from some other growers on another forum i use its a good'un :) http://www.puresativa.com/flying-dutchmen/article022.html

4th grow i might go for some thai-tanic, and maybe some grapefruit, or c-99 ... so many strains, so little growspace!
