So on friday i was hopping a fence and i lost my footing and scratched and cut myself. It was a pretty rusty fence and what im worried about is now my arms really sore where i got cut and it was tingling for a while, which i knows a symptom. Im pretty sure i have my shot but could i still have gotten tetanus?
if its been less than 5 years since your last tetanus your fine.. i would watch for infection though.. MRS is running rampant nowadays...
the cdc (center for disease control) recommends a tetanus booster shot about every ten (10) years. however, a booster shot might be nesscary before then. the tetanus bacterial is just about everwhere. tetanus is quite rare in the u.s.a. but, it is nothing to fuck around with! i have seen one person die from it... it is quite ugly! go to the doc right away and let them have a look at your wound. a tetanus shot cost only about $ 25.00 (u.s.a. funds.) if you don't have the money for it go, to a community clinic where you can get it for free. DON'T FUCK AROUND WITH THIS!
yea im gonna call tmrw about it, i wasnt rly gonna becuase im like 99% sure i had a shot within the past 5 years but today my jaw kept clicking when i was chewing gum and i think tetanus affects the jaw
glad to here your getting it checked out! last sunday i got the shit beaten out of me. i cut my left cheek quite deeply when i fell and hit the corner of the bench. i had a tetanus shot last year but, due to that wound i had to have a booster shot. you just never know about tetanus.
