Yes I hated half baked. WAYYYYY cliche.

 

I have to disagree.. Half Baked is sooo funny. High or not, its soo funny..

I agree, stoner movies are stupid 99% of the time. but the same applies to every aspect of "stoner culture", except getting stoned itself.

getting high and watching a film about getting high, or listening to a song about getting is lame. period.

in my opinion most people and most of popular culture is "stupid," but really it IS a matter of opinion, though i of course always think i'm right

i personally find that half baked is an entirely rediculously stupid and terrible movie, but still find it very funny, and it has more than it's share of moments...

still, it's an awful movie, just kind of nostalgic and endearing...and i often find myself cracking up when i watch it, though on the whole i still think its bad.

harold and kumar is the better movie in my opinion, though its still "stupid" and features some particularly base humor.....

still, in my opinion they're vastly better than anything cheech and chong ever made on film together....

 

however i do concede that there are much better comedies out there than harold and kumar or half baked....many, many movies are VERY much better.....

but i dont think those two in particular are entirely unlikable....thats all...

 

i agree however i did like halfbaked because it reminded me of my friends =) you want to see a haggard movie? THE EVIL BONG featuring TOMMY CHONG. it was the biggest waste of an hour but i think everyone should watch it once. =)

Is grandma's boy a stoner movie or what? I kept hearing all this good shit about it, and then it was on cinemax and I recorded it the other day, and started watching it and I couldn't even get through the first half hour without being incredibly bored and annoyed with the stupidity. Maybe I just have no patience for 35 year old losers or something, or gamer dorks.

Also halfbaked I saw such a long time ago, and can't really remember much about it, but I do remember thinking it was funny at the time.

I used to love tom green too, and I always thought his comedy was funny while stoned.

 

ok i think harold and kumar has alot of comic base. i mean the idea of getting a ticket for stepping on a barren street at 3 AM is funny stoned or sober, and I can't wait to see the second. a prime example of a bad stoner movie that no one has mentioned so far is how high, which is funny stoned but otherwise just too annoying.

 

the only stoner movie i dislike is fasttimes at ridgemont high, that ive seen anyways

 

i personally loved grandmas boy, harold and kumar, how high and half baked althought i havnt watched half baked for a long time so i dont remember it much. i dont see why people say they are stupid because they are "to funny" thats just the point of comedy type movies. they are all full of a bunch of funny ass skits that play along with the whole plot line of the movie. everyones tastes and preferences are different i guess i just always liked watching movies as long as they are funny, have good special effects, good plot, or a combination of those.

 

some of the best movies are stupid and funny. thats what MST3K banked on. Harold and Kumar and Half Baked are undeniably stupid but they are funny as shit. if you ever watched chappelle show they have a skit in which they go back and explain what would have really happened in half baked... lmao

I find that a lot of comedy movies are terrible to watch while high (personally). They appear blatantly ignorant, over exaggerated emotion, insincerity, etc...

half baked is a great movie, herald and Kumar wasn't that funny ill agree, watch dazed and confused, thats a classic. Grandma's boy is hilarious high or not. a dedicated stoner movie would be halarious though... someday someone will make one.

when you say 'everybody hates chris' and 'drake n josh', those are nickelodeon shows, a kids channel over here in the states. made for kids 14 and under.. you shouldnt find them funny lol

when im high, movies look really fake and boring, i dont like watching tv or movies when im high.. tv makes you stupid
