i have been hearing TechWeb for years, I am glad there was already a thread.

If you havent heard it, you should!!

Every freaky band from the 60s, even ones that you only ever knew of from being on a poster with a band you HAD heard!

Even the commercials are vintage... when Daltry sings "Things go better with Coke" he means it!

Great stuff, do check it out if you are into psych. I kick on the lava lamp and listen all the time!

Agreed.Its a great station.Ive only been listening for a year,but I tune in every day,at least for a couple of hours.
Also try,Beyond the Beat Generation.Excellent.

 

Good station, but I wanna be the devil's advocate here......the people who manage that place suck big time....to be avoided !

 

WHY?

 

I have sirius and they have a few stations that play some good stuff. Three that I can think of off the top of my head. You can keep yourself pretty busy with it.

 

yeah, i might have to know more before I give up my techweb!


The only complaint I have about them is that they play at least one Jethro Tull song every hour or so... and that aint much of a complaint!

I just re-read what I wrote, sounds like I was saying they only had three good stations. They have a hell of a lot, just three that play the music that you would find on tech.

I agree...I´m glad Hippy_ Jon posted this link. It was soo refreshing day for me, full of new music. And I was that naive and thought how much psychedelic and garage bands I have known

sorry, if it comes down to snobbish TechWeb owners vs. corporate evil XM Satellite Radio, I am gonna go with the little guys.... not to mention its free. No need to subscribe to XM, just surf over in a browser and start listening! Plus, I have never had a need to get to know TechWeb admin, so snobbish is a non issue as far as listening.

 

IT IS an issue....a sRIUS one indeed,,,when they mix snobism with music......good riddance to TWOS from MY network and I KNOW that many others had the same experience with those "nuts"!!
