tattoo w/ sugery

if you have a tattoo.. lets says on the stomache, and they have to cut you open for surgery right where the tat is, when they sew you back up, is the tattoo fucked up?

im just wondering. that's hy its in the random section.... and it'd be interesting to hear any stories of people this has happend to

 

haha..i thought perhaps you had a tattoo and needed surgery.

 

Good random thought. The tat would have to be fucked up due to scarring, but I wonder if they would at least take care to stitch you up so that the tat lines back up again. Then would you have to have the tat touched up where the scar tissue is? Now I'm going to have to find out the answer. I hope I know a surgeon.

 

I have a tattoo on my belly, and if I had to have surgery and be cut open, I would be far more concerned about not dying than my tattoo. Also, who cares about the tattoo when you have a giant gash scar across your belly?

BTW, I've had 2 kids and it did get a tiny bit stretched, but the artist says it can be fixed no prob...it needs a recolour anyway....

 

I wouldnt risk it, just refuse the surgery

 

If its not a matter of life and dead maybe you can ask the surgeon to cut around it.. Unless it's really big ofcourse.. Really never even have thought about this..

 

The way I look at it is, I can get a new tattoo, but I can't get a new body. I'd worry about that AFTER I was healthy again...
