Yesterday, my friend Erica came over with her tarot cards and we were shuffling them and she asked a question about the future of her and this guy she met. She asked the question and continued to shuffle and stuff, and then she started telling me this story about when she was at her cousins house and she laid out the cards. It was funny as hell because the cards didn't have much to do with the guy and they pretty much told the story of being at her cousin's house. I couldn't stop laughing at her. Anywho. What do you guys think about Tarot? Real? Real Bullshit? Don't care?
Haha, I've noticed that one. Erica was really biased about another question and everything came out how she wanted, but after we cleaned them and I laid them out for her, all of her things were more realistic.
I think... If you do a reading on yourself, your interpretation of what the cards are telling you tells you more about your situation that the cards do. Do you know what I mean? I suppose in a way it can unlock your subconscious. Maybe. But I don't believe in some random woman telling you "your cards say you're going to be married in 5 years!" Or whatever it is they say.
Well, we did a Mirror Spread. And that one was like You, the person your involved with, what that person thinks about you, how you think of that person, blah, blah, blah... But I guess that could have swayed the cards too. If you talking about how you hate or love the person then that person's views on you could be swayed.
I like vessels. They help me think clearly. And the cards were scary dead on with me. They were saying how the dead were influencing my present and future choices, and that I'm caught in a conflict with a friend. And that is totally true and it was freaking me out. But I loved it.
What kind of cards did you use? The ones I'm familiar with have like.. I can't even remember. A tower, death..? That kind of thing. Very open to interpretation.
I think they're interesting. I've had my done several times just for the heck of it. What I don't understand is why the death card always comes up on mine. Could it be because it's the thing I fear most, what absolutely terrifies me? The end? I don't know.
i think its more on how you interpret the cards more than what they say. two people could look at the same set of cards, have the same book of answer thing and still get differant answers that are special to them
I believe in it, yeah . My sister does them! Yet i havent actually got them done to me, i think im afraid of the outcome hah
Noela, I love your new sig pic. You look beautiful and your hair looks amazing. (sorry OP but you know it's true. )
tarot can be an invaluable tool - its origins are lost to history, but its use as a map of the evolution of man's spirit, the way it's structured to mirror the Collective Mind is most impressive it's hard to read for one's self, as objectivity is the key for accuracy, but meditation on a single card pulled each day can be very enlightening for the individual
