It's been bothering me all day. My friend sent me this email. It said that a lady who had used this contraption and the solution had her healthy dog die of liver disease. Her housekeeper lost 2 cats and she used the same solution. Come to find out it is one molecule away from antifreeze. The dog had licked his paws after walking across the floor. How sad. I don't use it and don't have any animals or small children. I just wanted to spread the word to anyone that might know anybody using this stuff. Hopefully a pet or small child can be blessed by the knowledge! Luv n peace!!

also, the flavoring for Coldstone's cotton candy ice cream is also "one molecule away " from anti freeze and it is GRAS rated.

Thanks for the info, never even thought of it as a hoax. I'm so vulnerable and nothing really upset me quite like this. Sorry for jumping to conclusions, I'm sending my friend your link!! Thanks again!!!

Glad to help! :) Don't feel bad, you're not alone in believing these things -that's how hoaxes can spread and keep getting spread around! Still, I get messages like this almost daily, have been online for about ten years, and *all* of these forwarded messages are hoaxes. Well, a number of them were true once (signature lists, missing kids) but since they're usually not dated or anything, they still make the rounds YEARS after the cause is solved... I may come across a bit snappy sometimes when replying but these things do get tiresome after a while... :p But check around at the Snopes and About.com sites for a bit and you'll find some tips on how to recognise these kinda things...

Yeah, your reply was a bit extreme and snappy. I'm a bit, no extremely computer illiterate but I guess u live and learn. I'm still learnin so I don't take it personally. I welcome any useful advice that comes my way. There's so much to learn about the whole net and all the forum folks and the sad thing is I can read it twice and forget it a few days later. When it's something like being scolded for your ignorance it tends to stick for a long time tho. Thanks for the bashing, I promise not to do it again and I'll do my homework and read the tips you gave me. Peace!
