we eat a lot of toast at my house..i have actually thought about opening a gourmet toast and coffee hut... heres 2 i like malt bread...you have to look hard to find malt bread but toasted with salty butter it is in my top ten for sure white bread with butter and Romano cheese..or spaghetti cheese as my kid calls it...delicious what kind of toast do y'all like
i like my toast almost to point of being burnt, not burnt of course. Some people just like "warm bread" if you know what i mean. Peanut butter is awesome, has to have peanuts in it. As a kid i loved putting cinnamon and sugar and mixing them together and putting them on the toast that already has a lot of butter on it. So damn good.
Brown bread, lightly toasted with butter and left to cool down is my favourite. I love cinnamon toast too. I hate the smell of burnt toast!
i love the cinnamon and sugar one like broony said, and also just peanut butter (crunchy kind, not creamy) the malt bread sounds good. the only out of the ordinary toast thing i've had is dunking it in clam chowder or cream of mushroom soup. yum
yes..cinnamon toast...my mom served me hundreds of slices of cinnamon toast...i just bought some cinnamon on sale too
Milk and honey white bread lightly toasted so it's still solf with salted butter and honey. I with you on the cinnamon and sugar toast too.
lots of melted butter, and it has to be golden brown and crispy. I love fried bread even more, though.

Cinnamon toast is insanely good. Peanut Butter is good. So is jam. I like toast in general. White bread is good, so is whole weat. I've had cinnamon and raisin bread but I picked the raisins off because I hate them.
Gramma used to fix milk toast with 2 pieces of toast, with butter ,cinnamin, nutmeg and sugar on the toast ,floating in warm milk. Winter delight!
I love toast. If I only am putting butter on it I lightly score the bread when toasted and then put the butter on and it melts into all the little spaces. If I am going to use jam, marmalade or peanut butter I never use butter. Raisin bread is to die for!
buttered toast, cinnamon and sugar toast, peanut butter toast, toast and jelly, toast and peanut butter and jelly, it's all so good
i use this white bread recipe http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/Simple-White-Bread but because of my altitude (above 8,000 ft) i use about a third less yeast. i also tend to use a little less flour, but its just a practice thing. even with less yeast my dough still rises twice as fast as at sea level. i soak maybe half a cup of raisins in water or juice, though you could use alcohol or other dried fruit, giving them a little moisture helps to prevent burning, particularly if they are to be throughout the dough. i put my raisins in the spiral part. i dont like stuff super sweet, so i use maybe half a cup of brown sugar and 1-2 tsp cinnamon. sometimes a little nutmeg, or clove, or allspice. after the dough rests you roll it into a rectangle, paint some melted butter on it, sprinkle your toppings, and then roll up jelly roll style. THEN tuck the ends of the roll and pinch them underneath, that keeps sugar from falling out the end. i like a drier crust, so i do not butter or egg wash mine unless its a special bread. i cut 1-2 slashes lengthwise on the top, that gives it a place to expand, and also a place to sprinkle extra topping if you want. bake like the recipe calls for, mine bakes a bit faster than sea level. its a skill, and when you move theres a learning curve this is the bread im baking as christmas gifts. if you want to toast it you HAVE to let it cool. otherwise it wont slice nice. happy baking Happy toasting
