Supressing your need for THE MUNCHIES

    So lately I've been getting the munchies hardcore when I smoke.

    It's been typical for me to order a pizza or a Jimmi John's sandwich pretty regularly lately.

    But this is just too much money, not to mention, too much crap to be putting in my body, mostly because it's often right before I go to sleep, so my body cannot do anything productive with it but let it sit there.

    Anyone else know of good ways of dealing with this?

    Preset meals is what my friend used

    He actually lost weight that way

    He would just make a meal, before he smoked...and eat ONLY that meal after smoking (It triples your metabolism or so) so anyway, he ended up losing weight after a few months

    And he always made something healthy or at least better than pizza and junk food (Like pasta with a lot of cheese)

    last night i had the hardcore munchies.....for dinner i ate an entire box of cereal...it was great :)

    take Ephedrine lol


    seriously though, when u take ephedrine u dont need to eat at all, like it's work for me to eat anything when i'm taking it, but then again pot heads probably dont want to increse their heart rate lol

    whats ephedrine? how can i get it?

    anyways just pop some no-doz caffeine pills. u can get them at seven eleven for like a buck 69 (hehe if u cant tell i get them alot) two of those and ur going insane and dont need to eat. wooooooo

    Well, I'm not really too concerned about gaining weight. Actually, I'm about 6'3 and 150 pounds, so I could do to gain a few pounds, heh heh.

    It's probably more that I just have a bad habit of ordering too much food that costs money... perhaps I need to just have more food from a grocery store around.

    no need to suppress the munchies...just make the right choices when you get them...salad is really good munchie food, fresh fruit and vegtables are awesome too.

    In other words, eat healthy, feel better

    yeah health food would probably intense the happiness. i wonder if theres a limit to how happy one can feel.

    dude, halloween is around the corner and i got big big munchies last night........ lol i ate so many of those miniture candy bars and then a shitload or peanut butter crackers and also some campbells chunky soup.......... i'm going to completly stop munching out though because i'm 5 feet tall and i already weigh like 105 which is about normal or a little above for my height.....i don't want to gain to much weight because then marching band will be a struggle...lol it's already bad enough that i can't breath because i smoke too much, i don't need to be fat too

    i'm not your average marching band chick....... i've always been a weed smoker at heart and music is a big part of my life, i have to do marching band because i'm percussion captain....it's cool though, it's really trippy to watch other drums corps perform their shows while you're high.....so there you go :)

    well, maybe i'm the only exception........:) it's pretty cool to be at practice stoned too.....the formations you make blow your mind.....anyways.... yes i am in competitive marching band, and yes, i smoke weed every day

    u probably dont want to take ephedrine, it's similar to caffeine but it increses your heart rate and Body tempature a little, but seriously it works soooo well to diminish your appetite

    if your actually keen on taking it, it's kinda pricey, go to like a Vitamin store or a Weight lifting store that sells suplements, i use "Therma-lean" which is a little bit more complex than just ephedrine, as it's used to lose weight, but u could take it too


    *** another downside to taking it is u have to drink like 4L of water a day lol

    so most likely u dont want it

    try eating a little bit before you smoke. Like, have some fruit or whatever, something healthy and non-processed. A small meal before you smoke seems to kill the munchies, so you don't eat an assload of junkfood then sleep with all that just sitting there.

    I heard somewhere that the reason you get the munchies when you smoke is because weed lowers blood sugar, causing you to crave food, especially sweet food. As a result, eating diminishes your high a little bit. Does anyone know if this is true? It sounds plausible to me.

    I'm not sure how that COULD be true. How would THC reduce your blood sugar? It's all bound up in your brain cells. I'm not ruling it out, but it seems unlikely. More likely that you get the munchies because everything seems enhanced and amplified when you're stoned, so being hungry is magnified. And since food tastes so good anyways when you're stoned, that doesn't help.

    I read in High Times that THC is believed to alter the secretion of insulin, in turn, affecting blood sugar. I don't know if this is true, but I did see an article making these claims in High Times.
