Oh wow, what to write? Hi, I'm John (gizmoguy, whatever you wanna call me ). I'm trying to think of stuff that's important to me to describe me, but it's hard haha. Erm, I study Computer Science at university in England, I enjoy exploring my consciousness with drugs (think I'll start meditating and trying lucid dreaming too), and just chilling out. I just want a simple life with some people I love, just chilling on a commune and doing what we want. I connect with the Earth a lot, and am starting to explore my nature-side, looking into Wicca and stuff. I'm a self-described epistemological and metaphysical nihilist, so basically I don't beleive that you can prove anything exists, not even myself, and that all knowledge is potentially false. My philosophy is also influenced heavily by Taoism and existentialism, and in a nutshell I believe "be chill". The universe could be an illusion but it's the one I'm in, so go with it and be chill. People are just who they are and that's it, so just be chill. Musically I'm into lots of stuff, but I'm diggin jazz, psych. rock, stoner doom a lot at the moment. I want to get good at making things, like woodworking and stuff. Thinking of making a flute soon. And sourdough bread. Haha. Identified with hippie-ness for a long time now. Not sure what to say really. You discover people by interacting with them, so let's interact. Ask me anything. I like philosophy, maths, political theory. 'Vegetarian'. LMAO I dunno what else to say. Nah man it's chill, I'd love that. :daisy: Yeah I know of Instructables but I don't check it out much. Do you know Hack A Day (http://hackaday.com/)? I don't really do much at the moment, but I really want to start doing 'traditional' crafts, like pottery, woodworking, etc. I need to know stuff for the commune, plus I like the idea of being involved in all of the creative process. Getting my own clay, shaping it by hand, firing it in a pit kiln I've built myself, etc. :-D Also, thank you everyone for your warm welcomes! :daisy::daisy: LMAO this is such an awesome smiley!

Thanks man, that's a really beautiful thing to say. :daisy: I'm really excited, there are lots of things that are important to me that I don't really connect with anyone over, my sorta hippie side. So it's gonna be awesome to talk to people who get that and are a bit like that. Not as I wrote any of my posts so far (I think) but I was high a couple of days ago when I decided to introduce myself. Dunno why I didn't do it when I was high.
