I noticed there is no current weather thread, decided to make one Summer Thread.

Yesterday the dewpoint reached 22.6°C where I live. Today it dropped to 16s. Less humid weather but still hot.

Yesterday afternoon, it was 31.3°C at 60% humidity. Heat Index was 35.5°C at the moment. Pretty high!

Today the actual temperature was higher but less humid, which felt more comfortable. The temp reached 32°C at 40% humidity.

TV Meteorologist said we haven’t hit 90 degrees Fahrenheit in nearly 300 days.

Might just hit 90F later this week.

Strangely, we hit 34 something in May but highest we went in June was lower.

    Talking about the weather.
Call this Summer with below news report in today's UK Daily Mail!

    HELP!

UK weather Met Office danger to life warning one month of rain due to fall in a day today | Daily Mail Online

It is looking like we are going to get an awful lot of rain later today.
I think I will stay in!

Met Office warn of danger to life as a MONTH'S worth of rain in one day will cause floods across England and Scotland today
    • Britain is set to have last day of sunshine before torrential downpours drop a month's worth of rain Monday
    • A 2,000-mile African plume will cause temperatures to soar to 95F (34C) later in the week and break records
    • Humid and muggy conditions for rest of the week could lead record heats as parts of Europe scorch in 106F

    PUBLISHED: 08:30 BST, 24 June 2019 | UPDATED: 09:28 BST, 24 June 2019

The tropical temperatures that dazzled Britain in sunshine yesterday are turning to rain today as forecasters warn of nationwide storms.

Torrential downpours could see up to a month's rain fall in some places over a 60-hour period of wind, rain, lightning and hail.

The Met Office has warned of possible danger to life, claiming homes and businesses could be hit by floods, lightening strikes and gale-force winds.

Train and bus services could be delayed or cancelled, driving conditions treacherous and some areas could be hit by power cuts, the forecasters added.

Later in the week Britain could break its 35C (95F) June temperature record as a 2,000-mile wide African air plume brings Europe a record heatwave – and the Met Office forecasts a hot summer after the grim Sunday-to-Tuesday period.

UK temperatures will be hotter than Egypt and Thailand – but sweltering humidity means thunderstorms, more floods and Glastonbury facing mud.

Hot air is shown on a dramatic weather map covering Britain and stretching from Spain to Norway. Germany, due 41C (106F), is set to break its 40.3C (104.5) temperature record.

So let's go Singin' In The Rain shall we?
