Strategic placement of threads

Since I do not have the power to sticky threads, I usually place a strategic post to bump an interesting (usually one of myself) thread on top of a thread with many replies.

What is your posting strategy?

 

i stray away from posting threads in the early morning so i dont end up only talking to myself and the australians

I always make sure that I am the first person to post in all my threads. Tends to work most of the time. Sometimes it's not even necessary for me to post in them at all though.

 

Duh. Everyone who makes the first post in a thread is the first one to post in that thread.

I don't use strategy. Funniest thing is I read this while the New Posts were clogged with a spammer that is making one thread in every forum =P

 

If I'm not the first person to post in my threads, then it must be someone else. This is a radically different change of tactic.

 

i dont usually create topics. when i come on the hipforums, i just go on the active threads page and post here and there.
but i dont bother looking at the threads that have more than 5 pages full already, because 1) the question asked has probably already been answered, 2) im lazy, and 3) pple have HUGE signature pics that make it hard to read everything.
also, forums are fun, but its hard to catch up on personal convos.

i think a strategic way to place a thread is when some moron is spamming the place with "this is not music" threads, and your thread is something different

Funny think is I try to post in the late night/early mornings (here) so I don't end up talking to myself and australians.

I post wherever I want...except for the Lesbians forum...and I really try to hold back posts while I read the "womens issues" section..its hard..but I manage

 

I'm pretty sure people from the dreadlock forum were talking about how their posts don't count anymore. Can somebody confirm this?

Laura, I have been branching out a lot lately. Have you tried clicking on the "new posts" link at the top of the page? Its a great way to cut to the most popular threads in all of the forums.

I think you'll find however that the majority of threads posted on this site are retarded, even by RT standards. I'm still confused as to why we get a bad name.
