Yea... your probably right - but damn have they wrote some good material, plus they came in 12th out of 114 in jambands.com's pole of bands likely to win over new fans in 06'

I wouldn't put a lot of weight on the jambands poll. A lot of fans at various band message boards gather together and vote to draw attention to their favorite band. You can vote once a day, so this activity somewhat skews the results.

I'm really not trying to take anything away from Strangefolk as they are indeed a great band. I just happen to feel that their best material was penned by Reid Genaur and he's no longer with them.

i saw strangefolk recently and thought it was mediocre at best. in fact, they played to a small crowd for a cheap ticket price. i was dissapointed. i think the backbone of the band was definitely reid genauer. have you read the most recent relix magazine? a huge spread all about reid. they're gettin big. strangefolk? nah.

they don't have a lot of dates booked because of Reid's new baby. They will be at Gathering of the Vibes though, which would be worth your journey from Deleware

*to the initial poster. sorry to hijack the tea leaf thread, wish those guys were playing the NE area again soon.
