I'm broke this week from holiday shopping and haven't gone to the store yet, and I had to throw something together from what I have on hand tonight. So I'm having chili flavored ramen with cheese toast made of wheat bread and baby swiss. Haha It's actually pretty good, but God I hate when there's nothing left to eat. :biggrin:
I have no money....nothing. My mom promised to cash my checks at the bank today....yeah she forgot and I need gas to get to work tomorrow. Hahaha my dad is giving me his last $5 and cashing the checks in the morning. I had saltine crackers and cheese. Food of the gods.
I'm broke as shit, too, but I bought a few groceries to make it until tomorrow. I expect someone to feed us tomorrow and the next day. Then I get paid on Friday and the cycle begins again.
I wouldn't eat it every day. Too much sodium. But I've eaten it while hiking. It's actually quite good, but you have to use the right ramen and the right Doritos. Chile Lime and Cool Ranch, baby.
It's obviously not haute cuisine. But if you've been hiking up and down hills all day with a heavy pack, and it's 30F out, and you want a hot, fast mean and your sleeping bag, it hits the spot and meets caloric requirements. And it weighs NOTHING. It's just a little high in sodium so have a cup of green tea with it.
i don't know, i like ramen but only the way i make it, and i don't use the lil msg packet that comes with it, it's easier and more tastey if i just season to my own taste.
