Stop trashing on Kurt Cobain!!

Why the hell do people think that Kurt Cobain is an asshole for having killed himself? I mean apparantly people can't come to realize that he was miserable and he coouldn'y handle the life he was living. Yeah, he left his wife and kid but maybe he would've made their lives worse. So, to all the people who call him an asshole, FUCK OFF! You have no idea what it's like to loive with depression.

 

kurt cobain is a retarded douchebag asshole b/c of how he treated his fans, and b/c he killed himself out of pure emo total self pitying depression, when all of his problems were self caused, which actually weren't really problems that REAL WORLD people deal with.

I basically have to agree here. Though, being famous would be a pain in the ass.

Either way, his music was mediocre at best, and the most overrated since the Beatles. (At least the Beatles could write good music though.) Mudhoney started grunge - Nirvana just got the credit. And Mudhoney's grunge actually had some grit to it - wasn't just songs full of mellow whining that all blended into each other.

If you are into him OP, then by all means, enjoy your music. Nirvana isn't really anything special though. at all...

 

What really bothers me is that people think they can call somebody and asshole or coward for having commited suicide. It takes alot of strenght and will to make it through one day with depression. Imagine being Kurt and having to deal oth everything around him and a drug issue. I would've blown my own brains out too.

 

Suicide Is Selfish, And Most Folks Just Can't Understand Why Someone Would Take Their Own Life; Especially Being That He Was A Father. But I Also Think That Those Who Suffer From Serious Mental Illness Are Not Always Capable Of Thinking Clearly, And Sometimes The Illness Takes Over. In The Case That Someone Commits Suicide When They've Been Mentally Ill, It's Not Neccassarily Their Fault Or Responsibility...Folks Who Have Never Experienced Depression, Schizophrenia Or Other Disorders Are Just Less Likely To Understand And Are Sometimes Quick To Judge.

but all of those words are relative to one another. a stand up guy wouldn't have killed himself, especially when he had a kid. it's the easy way out. everyone has their problems.

 

^ Also, what gets to a lot of people is that sort've American dream of fame. Like, 'he had what we all want, what was his problem?' Which, just doesn't hold up for all people, and those sorts don't seem to realize it.

I tend to look down on the incident simply because I don't feel he deserves all the attention it's generated towards him.

 

Neo, I Agree With You, BUT You Also Have To Remember That In The Case That A Person Is Seriously Mentally Ill, They Do Not Have The Coping Skills Comparable To Those Of A Mentally Sound Person. Think About It.

And Daniela, Suicide Is Cowardice. It Just Is. But It's Not Always The Person's Fault. However, That Does Not Necessarily Excuse The Act.

yes I agree. But I'm speaking specifically about Kurt Cobain. As far as I know, he wasn't mentally ill, other than the fact that he was excessively emo and had a drug addiction. Which to be honest, is ultimately his fault still anyways.
