Stop the Price increase!

Enough, someone has to stop the price increase in gas, food, housing, electricity and all the basics. Can you share your ideas about how to stop this abuse? I personally propose the following:


Cut payroll for people in the congress, if they make the same amount of the average citizen, they will be more considered when passing those stupid bills.

Increase the tex and price on items such as cigarettes, liquor and gambling. Balance the increase to lower the price of gas, education and health.

Legalize weed and setup a special tax and percentage so the money can go to subsidize gas, health and education.

Make prisioners work to make things we need everyday so the cost will be lower, however, maintain the same price and give the difference to help education, health and transportation.

Increase the tax for people with more than one car and more than one house.

Share your ideas, stop the Bushit!

 

make those who are unemployed start working like cleaning parks, roads, ect, have youth groups assist in the community like help the elderly take care of things, get those on death row who are really iron clad guilty either work like dogs or get rid of em, maybe we all need to be less spendy, like why do ppl need more than one TV, computer, dvd player, ect. Plan trips better, read more, use free items instead of buying and renting all the time, work together not apart.

I love your ideas.
But the first one won't work. Their imcome primarily comes from the private sector. And they don't care at all whether they get paid as long as they can hold their positions.
I read a lot on business. It seems to me some political enemies share the same interest in some big companies. So I'm really sorry about it. It must be chaos.

 

ya i like ur ideas its ture we buy in excess. But please please PLEASE do not increase taxes on smokes and booze. Their enough as it is!

just consider how much tax already on them

 

take the rappers, rock stars, footballers and all the film stars and raise their tax brackets.

Add a couple of % to the tax of celebrities and you will make billions.

Trouble is the celebrities would leave, in which case you tax them on the way back in to perform shows. (an import tax).

wont work power is the key not so much the money. personally i dont think they should be paid at all just cover expenses.

wont work nor has it worked in the past those items are already over taxed. if you went back in time this country came to be because of an unfair tea tax. you cant tax one group more just because you dont like what they do. plus as i said its already over taxed and all that supposed money generated got wasted just as any added moneis would get wasted.

i dont smoke pot but i dont have a probelm with it , i feel it should be treated same as booze. so in part i agrre on that. but the tawxes generated would just get wasted same as they waste it now.

totally insane idea, put people out of work to give a prisoner a job. just dumb and not thought out.


really want prices to go down down.
1.stop taxing things so much. let people keep the money they earn.
a flat % tax on all people is the only fare way to do it. if one person makes more money than me they will pay more than i do but the % should be the same since we are all equeles. cause like here in PR the avg per captia income is 12000 the f million people here would think anybody making 20000 a year should be taxed at a higher rate so who is to determine what is alot of money and what is not alot? a flat tax is a fare tax. and pr has a base tax rate of 33%. but along with the flat tax remove all deductions and income credits and so on so the 5 the goverment gets they got it period.

2.want more jobs for this country and like to tax things. impose a high import tax on items. that will force companies to move to the US just to sell in our market and creat jobs for americans when those companies come here.

3.make prison a hard and terrible place that people do not want to go to. just have them move piles of dirt from point a to point b and when done move it back again. no need to take a law abiding citizens job away and give it to a criminal. also rotate shifts to prison beds you could triple the capaticity of a prison by giving 8 hours work 8 hours bunk time and 8 hours yard time. so one bed services 3 prisoners.

4.stop all welfar programs except for those totally unable to work. but the people that just dont work have the right to starve.if they have familes that are being neglected due to their lazyness. put them in jail for mistreatment or neglect for a week and show them what work really is. maybe that McDonalds job wont seem so bad after a week of moving dirt piles back and forth.

5.put an end to all labor unions all they do is blackmail the companies and extort more money. which in turn causes price increases to maintain the profit margine. and once that price goes up its like dominos other things follow in increase.
like a trucking union. they demand more money for their drivers. which includes drivers of many different types of trucks. for the various companies to cover the cost increase of the driver they are forced to do one of two things. raise prices or get rid of the high priced older worked and take a less experienced worker that will work for less money. and if they raise the prices of shipping items no matter what it is oil, gas, taco seasoning or diapers the owner of those items will have to raise their cost to cover the shipping cost increase or release some of their workes to cover the expense increase.
dont think its true. then why is a item made in the usa is often cheaper to by in another country? cause once it entered that country it didnt have all the high overhead american companies are forced to pay.

6.Fine any company proven to knowingly hire illeagle their total years profit.so americans will be insured the jobs. and make the risk to companies hiring illeagles just to great a risk to even consider it.

7. get rid of credit cards. they are killing this country and its people. many overspend beyond their abilities to repay and the only ones profitting are the credit card companies with the hight intrest rates and fees out the wazoo. large items homes and cars and so on credit cards dont cover anyways unless your super rich. so removing the credit cards will make us americans more watchfull in our spending habbits.and get us out of debt. is why so many americans think its no big issue when the goverment is in debt cause most of us are also. but if a private comapny will do finacing on large more pricy items so be it its their loss if the people default. but the intrest rate needs to be a set rate for all finaced items. car, boat,house or even a tv from best-buy. so people will know what they are paying and wont get suprised after a few months when they get a rate increase that messes up their entire budget.and forces them to live paycheck to paycheck like many of us already do.

8. encurage familes be it same sex or traditinal what ever but a family unit important combined incomes make things much more easy and children tend to be happier. now im not saying a single parent is bad i myself am a single parent but i know with help its betterand much more enjoyable for me. and because thats the way i feel i said encurage not force.

9. remove minimum wage laws. if a person will work a job for what they are paying then fine they work it. if they dont work a job for that pay rate they find another job.

10.give states back the right to fully govern themselves. the federal goverment should not regualte interstate comerse. that should be up to the states not the federal goverment. laws passed on the federal level may work fine for one state and its population but cause dire hardships to another state.




one thing is sure many people incomes would probably be lower but when that happened companies woudl stop selling items just because people didnt have the money to buy them and would force them to give in and lower the cost of items. it would be tuff at first but eventually it would even out.

Stop making wars in the mideast which causes speculation on the oil market and drives up prices. (not to mention the hundreds of billions of U.S. tax dollars spent directly on it already). Part of those hundreds of billions could have been spent on alternative energy, education, and medicine.

The problem with not buying in excess is that our economy relies solely on people buying shit. If we stop buying then inflation will go WAY too high and we'll end up in a depression (I know one's gonna happen anyway, but better later than sooner).

 

It seems to me every government want us to spend. Anyway, what's the point if we save all the the way and don't spend it?

you want alternative energy source well plenty are out there just none work as well or are to expensive or can pose health concerns . like a nucluer plant lots of good energy there but who wants a reactor in their back yard?

 

also storms, work stopages and many other things cause speculation not just a war.

 

I think this is a dilemma. The improvement of technology will bring down the cost, but make many out of job at the same time. Then the price is relatively higher for them. I still don't know there is a practical solution.

 

This happens today, but the corporations that rely on the cheap labor don't pass their added profits to the consumer for lower prices.

I think the increases are the result of us ALL
demanding pay raises. And getting them.
Makes the supplier, your boss, raise prices.

 

get rid of capitalism then the world would be a better place.

 

Those are good ideas, pretty much pure capitalism.

 

Capitalism works, its when the government starts being overbearing that it stops working.
