Stoned is the medieval word for being killed by stones thrown at you.
I take offence at the word 'stoned' for a certain state of mind after injecting and/or sniffing drugs.

The true martyrs of long gone times where proud owners of the word 'stoned'. You kids nowadays are misusing the word. Being 'stoned' has nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, to do with martyrdom anymore.

You are no martyrs, you are sinners.

hey, which one are you, the younger old guy, or the old guy?

why are you guys dressing like that?

stoned? that's a song, man, by bob dylan. Everybody calls it "everybody must get stoned" but that's the wrong name, the right name is "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35".it's a cool song. why are you making this thread, man? What is that going to change? the way some kids that went on the internet talk? i don't think that's going to work. People are trying to forget about history. that shit's in the past, and guess what it's the present now. society evolves, baby! who gets stoned(your definition) anymore? no one but some people out east (were they have been keeping history as their present.)

    everybody must get stoned, father!!

Hello, on the photograph I, Father Bennett, am standing on the left. The older man is Father Martin. A well-respected member of our community I may add.
I have heard of the Bob Dylan song and, what I gather, is that he is referring to the old meaning of 'being stoned'. No reference to drug-induced substances is made in that song.
Me and a few scholars from Lexington have discussed his and other songs and come to this conclusion.

    Father Bennett.

    seriously, quit spewing your bullshit

if you honestly believe marijuana is a drug that is sniffed or injected, you are unbelievably misinformed and need to seek the correct knowledge on this topic

lots of words' meanings' have changed over time. It doesnt make somebody a sinner for saying they got stoned. And I don't think you can understand Dylan, lots of people have ideas about what his songs have meant. He once siad how people were going to think his songs meant all kinds of things when he didnt even know what they meant.

OH and pot is smoked/eaten/vaporized and is NOT a sin.
