Obviously no stereotype is going to be 100% true of 100% of the people it is meant to concern, but what are some stereotypes that have proven to be true in your own personal experience on more than one ocassion. This doesn't mean "stereotypes that I commonly hear about and see reproduced in the media, and have proven true one or two times in my life..." I'm talking about stereotypes that you've seen lived out repeatedly in your day-to-day life.
I plead the fifth. For real, many stereotypes are common. They, are always, however, just stereotypes. Just as statistics are just stats.- have nothing to do with individuals.. maybe probabilities.
They do say ignorance is bliss right? In my church, there's this sort of inner group of people who are a bit more devout than the general church populace. I find that this group is unequivocably happy.
Is ignorant bliss truly happiness though? My mom is one of those. And she seems happy most of the time but she gets upset about the smallest things and I don't see it as true happiness.
yeah, i have to say, the relaxation and joy of those true believers is something i envy. i've never been able to buy into it, no matter how hard i tried. *sigh* wish i could have, though. who cares what other people think of it? you're happy. flamboyantly gay men are fun at parties.
Or perhaps you're the most ignorant of all because you're not even open to the idea? True Stereotypes: Blacks commit more crimes (its a fact, if you want to accept it or just call me racist I don't care) Asians are smart. I had 5 asians at my school, they were all really smart. Meth heads are all pieces of shit.
darkain- maaaaaybe. I'm openminded so maybe but um, doubt it. kc- I tried too. Believe me. It's not possible for me. Shrugs. and i love gay men at parties.
