I like Steppenwolf. I have their first album, the one with "Born To Be Wild", I think from 1968. My favorite song on that album is "Desperation".

Yeah, Steppenwolf was one of my favorite groups from the late 60's and early 70's. I have all the original Steppenwolf albums. The original Steppenwolf broke up in '72. Since then there have been several incarnations of Steppenwolf. In the current incarnation of Steppenwolf, John Kay, the lead singer is the only original member. Jerry Edmonton. the original drummer for Steppenwolf, was killed in a car crash in 1993.

I'm on the lookout for that one. And I hope it comes with the fantastic and nightmare-ish back cover artwork by Rick Griffin. http://www.myraltis.co.uk/rickgriffin/galleries13.htm

I don't have the first but I do have 'The Second' with Magic Carpet Ride and 'Steppenwolf 7' which I think is very well done.
