I'm totally, absolutely gatvol. (Gatvol is afrikaans for: "I CAN'T TAKE THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT ANYMORE! Direct translation: Arsefull.)
I had a dream lst night of being caught with marijuana, and I fleed before the trial. I came uppon a hippy commune full of kids and people of all ages just having fun, like people are supposed to. Some where kind of irritating, but the place was pretty much Utopia. So now, if I don't find an hippy commune, I'm fucking starting one. Anyone with some past experience with this whom can help me out?

Well, here are a couple of sources I can recommend -
    • This is the book: http://www.amazon.com/Creating-Life-Together-Ecovillages-Intentional/dp/0865714711/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1269098772&sr=1-1"]Creating a Life Together: Practical Tools to Grow Ecovillages and Intentional Communities - by Diana Leafe Christian
    • This is a short course: Introduction to Pleasurable Group Living - the link takes you to the right page, but you have to scroll down the page to find the course description - this course is next weekend in the San Francisco bay area.
    • http://www.ic.org/ - this is the website for the Fellowship for Intentional Community - it has a directory of existing and planned communities, and tons of information

I'm sure you know that over 90% of intentional communities fail, usually within the first few years. Diana's book is pretty much the only book out there on the topic and it is really good.

Our group was a "hippy commune" and has been living together for almost 42 years and still going strong - its an ongoing experiment - we try a lot of different things to see what works and what doesn't. We teach two courses on group living - the short one listed above and a weekend course called "the Third Mansion." There is getting to be a lot of information on our website about communal living
