I find it odd that bi men are stereotyped as really being gay, or leaning towards men. I've always been attracted to guys, fantasized about having sex with them, and even had romantic feelings, but still strongly prefer women, so I find this strange. I've always thought everyone fancied both sexes a little bit. And since there are more straight people, I thought it would follow that most people attracted to both sexes would be "more straight" when it came down to it. I obviously know why...being a gay male isn't really smiled on in most societies, whereas in some societies women who have sex with women (as opposed to actual lesbians) are more likely to be seen as "hot". So there's less incentive for straight-leaning men to come out, whereas gay leaning bisexuals would struggle more living in the closet and would have more incentive to fight the stigma. And of course there are those who use bi as a transitionary phase to declaring their homosexuality. I think as times go on you'll even see young guys claiming to be bi only to renounce it later in favour of a straight identity, as stigma decreases but the natural desire to explore your sexuality when you're younger remains. What about you guys? Or the bi-identifed men you know? EDIT: sorry about the spelling mistake in the title
what up with the srt8 males want to call themselves str8 yet want to get their dicks sucked by gay/bi men. unless I have str8 wrong.??
I meant more attracted to women than men, but still attracted to both. So no, not technically straight, but more to the female side.
I know what you mean man. I generally prefer women and I'm usually on the look out for them. I prefer to let a guy come to me (pun intended). The way I like to put it is I'll go for most women as long as they look decent and are witty enough (but sometimes not even that!), but it takes a special type of guy to make me fall for him.
What's up with the str8 males that want to call themselves str8, but want to suck another male's cock and think that this is still being str8 because they aren't physically attracted to them or have any emotional attachment to them. They like to call this "helping a friend out" and seem to think that this is normal str8 behavior. I don't care what anyone says, if you're a male and you suck cock then you're at the least bisexual. Not that I'm into labeling or categorizing people, but let's get it right if we're going to do it.:2thumbsup:
It pays off to change the focus here. If you transcend your own self for a moment, and start considering how other people perceive you, you'll quickly conclude that your inner leanings have no impact on your sexual partners. For a guy whom you are having sex with, your bi side and inner leanings are really of no consequence unless he is planning a LTR with you. For a girl you are having sex with, your bi-side is really irrelevant, unless she too, wants a monogamous LTR to be your MO. On a day-to-day functional level bi (or any other) curiosity or leaning is of little importance. KD
'aren't physically attracted to them' is the key point in this. a person can do anything. some people really do want to experiment. some guys hear men give much better blowjobs than women and they want to know what it's like. some guys have a cock fetish but they have absolutely no attraction, physical or emotional, to guys. those guys really are straight. they're just some extremer version of the show-me-yours-i'll-show-you-mine type of thing. you could call them cock-curious. a lot of men are interested in dicks, whether straight or gay. and remember there are gay guys, who, while still in the closet have had sex with women. either in order to keep up appearances for others' sake or in order to try to convince themselves they're not gay. however, that sex with women doesn't make them bisexual because they feel no attraction to women. sexual performance does not equal sexuality. sexual attraction does. that thing you get when you meet a person and you instantly want them? -- that's how sexuality manifests itself. you can go out and suck dick all you want but if you only feel that attraction to women you are straight.
