hmm truth be told i do not know how to make polls either, and i also do not know who you are..
but starbucks is evil, because it is a dirty corporation, and i dislike dirty corporations...

oh but they do have nice coffee...

 

they help pay some tuition for kids (at least in hawaii) which is more than most corporations.

and they were willing to make the statement that they are against the war, which is a huge risk to take in this country.


but i do prefer other coffee houses.

 

I like their double shots.

I've never actually been in a Starbucks.

Maybe that should be my mission for tomorrow ...

 

i like the one my friend works at.. somehow he makes the drinks a million times better than the other employees.

So I have been to a Starbucks.

 

They use some pretty unethical business practices.

 

Ok, as President Nixon used to say, "let me say this about that"-I used to hear bad things about Starbucks until I started going into their 24hour coffee shop in Houston-at the moment there are only three in the state. It is a big meeting place for all kinds of people-students, intellectuals, business people, etc. People meet other people there and start dating, form friendships, etc. The management doesn't care if you buy anything or not, doesn't care how long you stay-students spend many hours there studying and never spend a nickel. You can't find a place to park or a seat on a Friday or Saturday night. Are they evil? I dunno, you couldn't prove it by me. Their coffee is expensive but it's pretty damn good, too. If I become Supreme Emperor of the Universe, I'm going to mandate that every city have at least one 24hour Starbucks.

 

They pay crap but they support fair trade and also give scholarships. I wouldn't say they are evil at all, but they could up their pay rates.

i could care less about the corporation part of it. It just isn't that good.
