Hi, I've taken x two times before and had a wonderful time both times. I've recently been prescribed lexapro for GAD (generalised anxiety disorder) and was wondering if there is any dangerous interaction between the two? X releases dopamine, and lexapro is a serotonin thing, so i don't think they should react together, but i just wanted some other opinions. Replys would be welcomed
you're greatly mistaken. MDMA cascades serotonin, and an SSRI would compete at the 5HT sites; unless you want to suffer from "serotonin syndrome", I'd advise against taking the two together.
people take it to ease the comedown, but people who take it medically apparently arent effected by mdma to the extent they would otherwise
People take SSRIs to ease the comedown? SSRIs do not even begin to have an effect unless used daily for several weeks. I'm sure some foolish people do think they ease the comedown but this is just a placebo effect. Taking MDMA while on an SSRI will probably not cause SS but probably will stop the ecstasy from having any positive effects.
ya know what, I think I'm wrong...it's an maoi taken with ecstacy or even 5-htp, that may give serotonin syndrome; an ssri will just muffle the mdma rush. you're right, abrad84 mah bad sorry about that EuphoricMelodies, disregard my previous post, as it's erroneous.
so, what ive gathered from this is that i could take the roll, but it would greatly diminish the joy of it and really wouldn't be worth it?
