    What does "spending time" with someone means to you?

    I am a very activity-prone person. I do not enjoy sitting around to talk. I like sharing productive experiences with people or I am better off alone.

    I am irked when people want to "spend time" with me, etc. etc., rather than "do something" with me.

    What is "spending time"?

    We're talking now. This is talking. I like talking. I consider talking to someone a worthy pursuit.

    And drinking.

    Spending time is just existing in the same space as someone else, usually on purpose, but not always.

    Sharing time that you value.

    As for the profound, is there an appreciable difference between jerking off and jacking off.

    What about masturbating and mass debating?

    Sometimes I'm socially expected to "spend time" with people I don't like.

    You mean your social conditioning compels you to pay your debt.

    Hm. I have no debt to them, it's more of a guilt thing. As it is usually aging family members. I'm still giving them some of my time.

    Talking to me is enjoyable and worth it if:

    a) it is targeted;

    b) and/or it is humorous.

    I guess when I say, sitting around to talk, I am talking about small-talk.

    yeah, small talk is terrible. Any person with which I can't have an in depth conversation (in between long moments of graceful silence) is not my friend.
